Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are the hot new Hollywood couple as they have been seen on dates in London in recent weeks.
But the stars want to take it slowly as he promotes his latest Mission: Impossible movie and she has Ballerina to talk up, a source told UsWeekly on Thursday.
Turns out the actors have known each other for years, the insider claimed, but only got close in February when they met over a movie project.
That is when the ‘relationship developed,’ it was added by the source.
Soon after Tom, 62, and Ana, 37, started dating as they were seen together on Valentine’s Day.
‘It’s low-key, still new and in the early stages,’ a source told the site. ‘Their romance is definitely on the down low.’

When they had a sit down three months ago Cruise was ‘super smitten’ with de Armas and it ‘developed into feelings.’
‘They’ve gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key,’ the source continued. ‘It’s in the early stages and he’s been courting her.’
Cruise is ‘really into her,’ the insider added while de Armas is being ‘more cautious.’
The insider said: ‘She isn’t looking for anything to move too fast, she’s taking it really slow.’
Ana’s exes include Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and Tom’s pal Ben Affleck.
Cruise is happy to romance the star.
‘They’ve gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key,’ the source continued. ‘It’s in the early stages and he’s been courting her.’
‘It’s very private,’ the insider explained of de Armas and the Mission Impossible superstar.
And she did not want to go to Cannes with Tom for his movie premiere because they are ‘protecting themselves from the intense scrutiny.’

She would prefer to fly under the radar and that is why she lives in Vermont most of the year.
‘She doesn’t like the public attention,’ With [ex-boyfriend] Ben Affleck, that’s one of the things she didn’t like,’ the insider told Us, adding that her preference for privacy is ‘one of the things Tom likes about her.’
This comes after DailyMail.com reported that Affleck is jealous of Tom dating his ex Ana.
‘Ben is kind of [a] jealous [type], yup,’ a source told DailyMail.com. ‘He really liked Ana a lot and then she walked away and left him sad. So to see her happy with his friend is kind of weird for him.’
Turns out Ben – who used to date Tom’s pal Gwyneth Paltrow – has always been ‘a little bit’ jealous of Cruise’s amazing action film career that has made him mega-rich.
‘I think every working actor in Hollywood is jealous of Tom’s success and Ben is not any different,’ the source added, downplaying the tension.

Ben dated de Armas from March 2020 to January 2021 and the pair were not shy to flaunt their romance – in contrast to her low-key relationship with Cruise
The source then noted: ‘But Ben is also happy for Tom. I mean, he admires that a colleague in his sixties is still going hard on the big screen. Ben hopes to be so lucky one day.’
Ben dated de Armas from March 2020 to January 2021. Cruise and de Armas have been in a romance since Valentine’s Day.
Most recently they were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll in a London park.
A video captured by an eagle-eyed fan showed the couple enjoying the sunshine on Ana’s 37th birthday last week.
Ben and Tom have another woman in common: Paltrow.
Ben dated the Oscar-winning actress on and off from 1997 to 2000, and Tom kissed her in a movie over 20 years ago.
Paltrow said during an interview: ‘I did a little cameo once at the beginning of Austin Powers 3, I think it was, and I got to make out with Tom Cruise. He was an amazing kisser!’
The film was 2002’s Austin Powers In Goldmember.
And let’s not forget that Tom danced with Ben’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.
This comes after word that Lopez promised her children she’d be ‘stronger and better’ after her divorce from Affleck.
The 55-year-old singer-and-actress – who has 17-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony – filed for divorce from the Accountant 2 star in August last year after just two years of marriage.
She’s told how her kids helped bring her ‘peace’ during a ‘difficult’ time.
She told Spain’s El Pais newspaper: ‘I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you’re going to see that I’ll come out the other side stronger and better.’ I promised them that and I did it.
‘And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life.’
Jennifer is ‘proud’ of how far she’s moved on with her life since her divorce and thinks she and her twins are all ‘stronger and better’ for coming through the rocky period in their lives.
She added: ‘I’m happier that I’m a step further along than I was a year ago, two years ago, three years ago… I’m proud of myself for that and I’m proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they’re stronger and better because of it.
‘So, it’s a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time with everybody.’
Although Jennifer and Ben – who has Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and 13-year-old Samuel with ex-wife Jennifer Garner – are no longer together, their families have remained close and the ‘Hustlers’ star’s twins joined their former step-siblings at ‘The Accountant 2’ premiere last month.

Ben told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet: ‘It’s a great night. The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited.
‘I’m proud of the movie, I love the movie and I love when all the kids come out. It’s really fun, it’s exciting.’
The 52-year-old star praised Jennifer as ‘spectacular’ who will always be ‘important’ to him.
Praised for ‘continuing those relationships’ with the kids, he said: ‘Listen, I don’t read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate this idea of … they wanna find something negative to talk about.
‘For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them. I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.’
