Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie will not be able to contact one another this Valentine’s Day as they fulfill their sentences at separate prisons.

Jay Surgent, the couple’s attorney, told TMZ his clients will be unable to speak to each other today as inmates serving sentences in different federal prisons are not allowed to be in communication.

Todd, 54, is currently fulfilling his sentence at FPC Pensacola and his wife Julie, 51, is behind bars at FMC Lexington, a prison in Kentucky.

Both of them are currently serving prison sentences after being convicted of tax fraud, bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

However, the Bureau of Prisons denied this, telling the website the couple could have spoken to one another on Valentine’s Day had they gotten their plans approved and arranged ahead of time.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons maintains a no-crossover/contact policy, Surgent told TMZ.

Yet he remains perplexed over the issue, claiming there are no security problems or cause for concern.

Surgent states their inability to speak with one another on Valentine’s Day will be a huge disappointment, considering their strong bond.

Surgent also alleged Todd recently told him he wanted to begin an investigation into FPC Pensacola prison administration for mail theft and general corruption, as well as other issues.

Todd alleges he has yet to receive the mail he is expecting.

But the Bureau of Prisons also fired off against that claim, telling TMZ inmates receive their mail in a timely fashion.

The reality TV couple were found guilty in federal court of committing tax evasion and bank fraud totaling $30million back in June 2022, with Todd sentenced to 12 years and Julie seven, both with 16 months of probation.

The pair, famed for their hit show Chrisley Knows Best, had their sentences reduced. Julie will serve five and a half years in Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky. Todd will serve out 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida.
