A man has allegedly been bashed with a hammer after a road rage incident outside Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash outside the Dreamworld theme park in Coomera, Queensland, on Monday afternoon.
Queensland Police said that after a crash, the occupants of one vehicle were chased into the park grounds.
A hammer was reportedly used to assault one of the fleeing men.
He suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital along with two other people, all in a stable condition.
Photos from the scene showed a black Holden Commodore had ploughed into a brick wall at the entrance to the park.
Police said the offender fled the scene after the attack and is still on the run.
They are appealing for anyone with dash cam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward.
Dreamworld said none of its guests were involved in the incident.
‘We would like to clarify that no Dreamworld guests were involved in this incident,’ they said in a statement.
‘As this is not an incident involving our guests, we will not be providing further details at this time.’
Dreamworld is ‘s biggest theme park, with more than 40 rides and attractions.
