The Traitors’ Paul once hosted his TV own show it’s been revealed.
The business manager, 36, is appearing on the current series on the BBC as a Traitor with fans branding ‘evil’ with devious shenanigans.
Now it’s been uncovered that Paul started his long media career fronting Quest for the Backflip on the Extreme Sports Channel way back in 2011.
The show followed the amateur sportsman as he attempted to master the art of doing a backflip on his BMX bike.
This comes amid the revelation that the reality star had already appeared on Deal Or No Deal where he walked away with a prize of 10p.

Quest for the Backflips offical synopsis reads ‘Paul Gorton was once an avid rider who, due to work and education commitments, had to put down his bike’.
‘7 years later, Paul is a media sales agent who hasn’t touched a BMX since. Before giving up on his riding career Paul had a list of tricks he was slowly ticking off as he completed them. The Backflip was next on the list when his wheels stopped turning, and he has lived with this one regret ever since.
‘Over the Summer of 2011 Paul will be stepping foot on a BMX for the first time in 7 years and attempting to cross that final trick off his list. From getting to grips with riding, re-learning his old favourite tricks to finding his feet again and settling into the riding scene, this is going to be an unusual adventure for someone revisiting a fond past-time that now lies long forgotten.
A personal journey, hopefully of triumph over regret, we will be capturing everything from the day Paul buys his new bike, to the final day of flip or fail.’
Paul is also a regular guest on comedian Joe Wilkinson’s Chatabix podcast which he hosts with fellow comedian David Earl.
A clip of one episode was shared to TikTok which showed Paul first being told of the BBC series after it’s 2022 premiere and being urged to apply after he claimed ‘he’d win’ the show.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the TV contestant has been branded ‘evil’ by viewers as his wicked ways continue to go unnoticed on the show.

It came as Paul’s ‘villain origin story’ was unearthed when fans realised he had appeared on Deal Or No Deal.
Things didn’t go well for him when he appeared on the show – that was then hosted by Noel Edmunds – as he lost a big money prize.
A clip circulating on social media shows Paul opening the last box of the game and being left with only 10p.
In the clip Noel says: ‘I didn’t influence you choosing that box in the beginning and now here I am involved in whether or not you are going away… oh for goodness sake.’
With Noel moving closer the box opens as he says: ‘Let’s have a look, this is what you’ve now got. 10p! Says it right to the end, isn’t it?’
Paul has been branded the new ‘Nasty Nick’ of reality TV as he found himself in the firing line on Thursday’s episode of The Traitors
Viewers believe Paul could replace Big Brother ‘Nasty Nick’ Bateman, who became known for playing his fellow housemates off of one another
He then looks disappointed with the result as the crowd echo his frustrations.
Many fans think this was the beginning for Paul’s villain persona as one wrote in reaction: ‘Paul from #TheTraitors was on Deal or no deal and won 10p. No wonder he’s evil.’
Another simply penned: ‘Villain origin story.’

Viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, hailing him the ultimate villain as they saw him ‘turn on the crocodile tears’ as he realised his plan to double bluff the Faithfuls could backfire.
After Ash’s banishment, Meg or Paul were at risk of being murdered by the Traitors after they were the remaining contestants who had been condemned in the dungeons.
The Traitors continues on BBC One on Friday at 9pm.
