Nearly four million people tuned into Wednesday’s episode of The Traitors, making it the most watched episode to date of the BBC One hit.
Dominating the night’s programming, an average of 3,992,300 viewers watched on to see Diane’s fate on The Traitors as she became the latest victim to be claimed by Traitors Paul, Harry and Miles.
Visualised podcast The Traitors Uncloaked, which aired afterwards at 10pm on BBC Two, also pulled in more fans than ever before, with an average of 913,530 viewers.
In comparison, Love Island All Stars managed an average of just 715,700 viewers, with a share of just 4.77 percent.
While it failed to pull in as many viewers, the programme aired a dramatic exit of its own as Jake Cornish quit the show after just two days.

The low ratings will come as a blow to ITV who were no doubt hoping to continue the success of the launch night show, which pulled in the most viewers since summer 2022.
The latest series of the ITV show debuted on Monday and saw several past contestants enter the villa for another shot at love.
1.9 million viewers watched the episode on ITV1 and ITV2 with the show getting a 44% share of 16-34 year olds watching TV at the time.
When ITVX figures are included, the episode had a combined peak audience of 2.1million and an average of 1.7million across all devices.
In comparison, The Traitors season two launch show pulled in a peak of 3.1 million viewers, not including those who watched on iPlayer.
It was a significant increase on the numbers watching last year’s opening episode, which hit 2.9million viewers.
During Wednesday’s episode of The Traitors, viewers were left in shock by ‘evil villain’ Paul as he once again managed to avoid banishment and convince the Faithfuls of his innocence.
However, she wasn’t killed off straight away and the group all attended a ‘funeral’ where she was then eliminated from the show, leaving her son Ross devastated.
Suspicion then fell on Miles and Evie as they had both handed Diane a drink, and Paul used the opportunity to turn on his fellow Traitor Miles, with Harry also jumping on the bandwagon.

Miles was banished from the castle after Paul turned on him at the round table
Following Miles’ exit, Harry and Paul were given the choice between ‘murdering’ another Faithful or recruiting one of them to be a Traitor
The tense round table saw Miles refuse to go down without a fight as he then turned on Paul, with Harry using the moment to secretly whisper to Zack his theory that they could both be Traitors.
The group eventually all voted Miles out, with Paul narrowly surviving another round table, despite repeatedly being brought up as a suspect.
Upon his exit, Miles said: ‘What an amazing journey we’ve had. I’ve made some friends for life, actually, and I’m excited to see my babies. I am in fact, a Traitor.’
Following Miles’ exit, Harry and Paul were given the choice between ‘murdering’ another Faithful or recruiting one of them to be a Traitor.
Though Paul was unconvinced, Harry persuaded him to recruit another person to ensure their safety, giving them someone they can throw under the bus if needed.
The episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger as they picked between Jasmine, Ross and Zack to join them on the dark side.
Meanwhile on Love Island, Jake announced his departure from the show to his fellow Islanders, leaving Liberty stunned.
He said: ‘I don’t want to waste time. I don’t want to give my energy to someone if it’s forced, if it’s fake. So just to let you know, I’m going to leave tonight.’
He added: ‘I love you all, that means you’ve all got to have fun and find love. Just because I haven’t doesn’t mean you lot can’t.’
Liberty exclaimed: ‘Oh, Jake!’, as she and the rest of the group jumped up and rushed to give him a hug.
As Liberty and Jake were seen walking off for a chat, Demi said: ‘I think Libs feels a little bit responsible but I told her it’s not her responsibility.’
As the pair sat together by the fire pit, Liberty burst into tears, prompting Jake to say: ‘Don’t get upset! What are you getting upset for?’
Referring to their past relationship, she said: ‘I know what happened, happened three years ago but you’ve honestly matured so much and I just feel like I just wanted you to have a good chance at finding love as well.’
Jake said: ‘You’ve definitely matured as well. I just can’t fake things for the sake of it. I just can’t do it.
‘So I thought the best thing for me to do is take myself out of the situation. I’ve had a wicked time.’
Jake was seen wheeling his suitcase alongside him as he left the Love Island All Stars villa in South Africa
Jake had an awkward reunion with his ex Liberty Poole in the villa who was left in tears when he announced he was leaving
Jake continued: ‘I hope you find someone in here because there’s going to be plenty of people that walk through that door.’
Referring to her decision to leave the Love Island villa just days before the final when she was first on the show and coupled-up with Jake in 2021, Liberty told him: ‘It’s weird to think that three years ago I was leaving being true to myself and now you’re doing the same thing.’
The pair hugged before Jake made his way to the front door of the villa where he was surrounded by his fellow Islanders as he made his way out.
The Traitors continues at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer while Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
