The Traitors viewers were left devastated on Friday as fan favourite Diane appeared to be murdered at the end of the episode after Tracey was killed off at the start.
The three remaining Traitors – Paul, Miles and Harry – were tasked with deciding who to hand a poisoned chalice to drink from as they made their latest killing.
As this week’s last instalment of the programme ended, Diane was seen taking the cup, leading many show fans to think she had been murdered.
However, many fans insisted they had not in fact seen Diane drink from the chalice, leading them to believe she will still be in the competition when the show returns next Wednesday.
And some series devotees predicted there could be a mega twist – Diane could hand the chalice to her own real-life son Ross, leaving him to be killed.

Earlier in the episode, viewers were in hysterics as Tracey (pictured) learned of her murder, with the clairvoyant failing to predict her own killing
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: ‘Technically we never saw Diane’s lips touch the chalice it could have touched someone else’s before by accident or something (clutching at straws).’
Someone else posted: ‘They said it was gonna be a massive shock, what if Diane doesn’t drink it, what if she takes it AND PASSES IT TO HER SON ROSS.’
And another viewer asked: ‘So what if Diane gives the poison chalice to her son, Ross at the last minute?’
‘The chalice hasn’t hit Diane’s lips yet – is there still hope?’, asked someone else.
While someone else shared: ‘Going to tell myself there’s a twist to the poison chalice and our Diane is not done for.’
Another fan posted: ‘Will not be available for the next 5 days as I will be mourning the potential loss of Diane.’
Someone else joked: ‘Feel more attached to Diane than I do my own mother atp.’
Someone else joked: ‘Tbf i would also want to die by drinking a glass of rosé. If Diane truly is murdered that way, then she really got the icon’s exit.’

The Traitors fans were in hysterics as they learned who had been murdered at the start of Friday’s episode.
Thursday’s episode saw Traitors Paul, Miles and Harry manage to swoop under the radar while Faithfuls Johnnie was banished and Meg was murdered.
The three remaining Traitors gathered to discuss who to murder, with one name being bandied about for the kill – Diane.
However, Diane returned to the castle for breakfast during the opening scenes of Friday’s episode with clairvoyant Tracey being unveiled at the Traitors latest victim.
Fans of the show were left in hysterics as Tracey learned of her murder, with the psychic insisting her fellow contestants saw her as a threat due to her abilities to see beyond, despite her being unable to foresee her own killing while admitting she had no clue who the Traitors were.
One person wrote on Twitter: ‘I’m surprised Tracey didn’t see that coming.’
Someone else joked: ‘Wow Tracey murdered, she must have seen that coming.’
Another amused viewer jested: ‘Tracey… wait for it … didn’t… see it… no, wait… coming.’

‘Damn Not Tracey!.. I was waiting to see when her “Powers” were going to Kick In,’ wrote someone else.
While someone else laughed: ‘Tracey was so good at seeing the future. Except her own murder.’
On Tracey admitting she had no clue who the Traitors were, someone wrote: ‘Not Tracey saying her psychic abilities are an asset to the faithfuls yet saying she has no idea who the traitors are in the same breath.’
Someone else shared: ‘Lol at Tracey they got rid of me coz of my psychic abilities and I can read their auras. Then the next sentence she says I don’t know who any of the traitors are…not so psychic then.’
And someone else posted: ‘Tracey: “I’m a clairvoyant”. Also Tracey: “I don’t know who the traitors are”.’

It comes after The Traitors contestants were left in total shock when Paul returned to the castle on Thursday’s episode.
Many had expected him to be murdered for being ‘popular’ and had anticipated that Meg would return to the competition instead.
It was between Meg and Paul who wold be murdered next after they ended up in the dungeon on Wednesday night’s episode – after which Andrew was saved and Ash was banished.
Suspicions have been rising that Paul is a Traitor, with Jaz in particular pointing out some of the flaws in his act.
After he returned at breakfast Jaz said to some of the others: ‘I don’t know how he has done it! He has convinced everyone he is faithful!’
Elsewhere Ross screamed when he walked back in: ‘Your face is not the face we thought we would see coming back.’
Evie and Zach were also suspicious of him.
It came as Paul was branded the new ‘Nasty Nick’ of reality TV as he found himself in the firing line on the episode.

Viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, hailing him the ultimate villain as they saw him ‘turn on the crocodile tears’ as he realised his plan to double bluff the Faithfuls could backfire.
After Ash’s banishment, Meg or Paul was at risk of being murdered by the Traitors after they were the remaining contestants who had been condemned in the dungeons.
The 36-year-old was applauded by fans who said he ‘deserved an Oscar’ as he burst into tears and had to be comforted by Jonny over claims he was missing his family.
But Paul confessed the real reason behind his tears was because his plan to double bluff the Faithfuls by placing himself in the dungeon had backfired.
He said: ‘I’ve had a very emotional day over the family and stuff but to be honest that was genuine emotion just reshaped in a different way that I knew I would benefit from it’.
Contestants were stunned when Paul returned to the breakfast table, instead of Faithful Meg, who they believed was a Traitor.

‘My emotions were genuine, they were just reshaped in a different way” I think that’s called being manipulative Paul’.
‘Please give me Paul’s downfall now’ and ‘Paul with the fake tears. Someone give that man an Oscar.’
Paul said: ‘Being a Traitor is testing. It’s really tough. It’s probably the hardest thing I’ve done actually. They might not like the way I go about things but I hope people see this is literally the levels you have to go to.’
Viewers believe Paul could replace Big Brother ‘Nasty Nick’ Bateman, who became known for playing his fellow housemates off of one another.
Paul said of Ash’s elimination. He said: ‘The dungeon, Ash was terrible down there.

‘The team is only strong as its weakest link. If you are not performing on a football pitch or work, you go and she needed to go. I want us to hide now.’
Harry warned Paul: ‘It could bring heat to you.’
Jonny was the next to be eliminated on the episode but he was in fact a Faithful.
The Traitors continues on BBC One on Wednesday at 9pm.
