He said: ‘So I remained grounded and remember why I was in there.’

Andrew – who made it to the final five alongside winner Harry, Jaz, Mollie, and Evie – didn’t shy away from admitting he ‘struggled’ being a traitor.

As a sport person – and self-confessed gym fanatic – he loved the competition, but is used to a strong moral ethic.

‘Being a sport person I was competitive but even knowing I was playing a game, I still struggled changing from being a faithful to being a traitor.

‘Accusing people and not telling the truth… It was tough. I knew when I signed up what the game was, but it was brutal.’

He added: ‘I enjoyed being a Faithful because I am an honest person, I kind of like to catch the evil people.

Admitting the show, was a mentally and physically a ‘draining game, he admitted: ‘I struggled being a Traitor.

‘When you are there it’s really intense, when you go back to your room you got to switch off or you’ll exhaust yourself.

‘I was quite tired towards the end, you don’t get lot of sleep so you are quite emotional.’

Andrew admitted he thought  being a qualified linguistic practitioner would be an advantage him, as he thought he was ‘quite good at reading people’s body language’.

Yet, the insurance broker acknowledged the game was a whole different level and there was no certainty once in the competition.

He praised host Claudia Winkleman and said he wouldn’t imagine anybody else in that role and said she is also an amazing person behind the screens.

‘But she doesn’t give away anything. She keeps a straight face. If that was me I’d have to get involved.’

When asked if he got any injuries during the challenges on the show, he poked fun laughing: ‘Other than psychological? No actual physical injury.’

The 45-year-old insurance broker, who is from Talbot Green, recalled the moment he was banished in the final: ‘I knew it was coming I was not gonna stand there and argue.

‘I knew my days were numbered and I knew Jaz suspected me anyway. Mollie suspected me and she was really influenced by Harry.’

He called both Paul and Harry ‘amazing traitors and human beings’, but he thought ultimately Harry did better as ‘he won overall.’

‘Paul was also good, he is a good actor, I fell for it!,’ he admitted.

The Traitors star revealed in the end they all got to watch the final together, calling it a really emotional watch.

‘Harry was top, he really deserved it,’ he said on the ultimate winner of the show.

‘He played a great game, I got no hard feelings.’

On Mollie and Harry, he added: ‘I was like the dad. I felt like they were my young children.’

The reality TV star admitted people – including friends and relatives – would message him after the show expressing hate for certain contestants.

‘It’s just a game they are not really murdering people don’t feel bad about this. You can get lost in the mist.’

Ultimately, Andrew said he loved taking part in the competition.

‘The show has been amazing, there was so much support.’

Meanwhile Evie Morrison – who also made in the final five – said: ‘I think when don’t get involved in drama and you keep your head down you are a good faithful and can get through.’

The veterinary nurse, 29, added: ‘You have to be suspicious but not too much. You have to be loud but not too loud.’

The Scottish star admitted she managed her emotions throughout the show, but admitted there was one very challenging moment towards the end.

‘I felt so guilty when Jaz left, I got swallowed up in that emotion. I managed to get throughout the whole season without that emotion, so I felt really bad about that. There were no women left at that point.

She also revealed she ‘dreamed about people’ in the series at some point: ‘After we stopped filming I was thinking and dreaming about it all the time.’

Evie added: ‘We spent so much time with these people and then we were just done.

‘We couldn’t contact anybody we couldn’t meet up. It was really hard to go back to your families which will never understand what you went through even as hard as they try. It was wild.’

Among the most demanding bits of the BBC show, the star explained it’s ‘really hard to try and change people’s mind when nobody wants to speak to you’.

She also added the filming length throughout the day could be very testing as sometimes you end up ‘filming for 16 hours’.

The veterinary nurse admitted Paul didn’t surprise her as a traitor, as she thought he ‘definitely’ was one of them.

Talking about Harry’s win, Evie said: ‘In the end Harry is a really good guy and played a really good game.

‘You can’ t be mad because if that was me in that position I wouldn’t want people to be upset. We are playing a game so no, I’ll give the win to him. He was just too good.’
