Damian Hurley has made a heartwarming gesture to Shane Warne’s three children.

The 22-year-old and his mother, Elizabeth Hurley, reunited with the trio in Melbourne on Thursday for the first time since the cricket legend’s tragic death in 2022.

Damian and Elizabeth, who dated Shane from 2010 to 2013, were all smiles as they posed for photos with Brooke, 27, Jackson, 25, and Summer, 22, in The Birdcage at Flemington Racecourse.

Following the lavish day, Damian penned a heartfelt note on his Instagram while paying tribute to the late King of Spin who died aged 52 from ‘natural causes’ in Koh Samui, Thailand, on March 4, 2022.

‘My forever family ♥️ Coming back to was always going to be hard. Part of me wanted to put it off forever, knowing that once here, the reality of SW’s passing would truly sink in,’ he wrote.

‘Now, being back in this beautiful place which I was once lucky enough to call home, I’m overwhelmed with more love than I’ll ever be able to put into words. My heart is full.’

Brooke also shared adorable footage of Damian, who she had during a brief relationship with late millionaire filmmaker Steve Bing, photobombing on of her Instagram Stories.

In the clip, Brooke is seen posing up a storm before Damian crashes the footage and tells Warne’s eldest daughter he loves her, before kissing her on the cheek.

At the time, Summer shared a gallery of photos to Instagram to pay tribute to her beloved father, and wrote: ‘There are no words. It feels like I’m dreaming, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re okay.

‘This can’t be real life. There’s no way that life is this cruel to the most beautiful people on this earth.

‘There’s no way that I will never hear your soft voice again telling me that ‘everything is going to be okay’ or how ‘proud’ you are of me, or simply saying ‘goodnight’, ‘good morning”, or ‘I love you’.’

Below her heartfelt post, Liz commented: ‘I love you, Summer. Your daddy worshipped you.’

Shane was father to daughters Summer and Brooke as well as son Jackson with his ex-wife Simone Callahan, to whom he was married between 1995 and 2005.

This week, Liz admitted returning to Melbourne has been ‘bittersweet’ following Shane’s death two years ago.

She took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a glimpse at her visit to the races with Damian and penned some poignant words in an accompanying caption.

Liz said that her return Down Under was ‘bittersweet’, as the city was ‘home to so many memories’ with her ex-partner Shane.

She wrote: ‘Bittersweet to be back in Melbourne – home to so many memories. Thank you @flemingtonvrc for inviting me and my son. We had a beautiful day.’

Liz began dating the Aussie cricketer – who was born and raised in Melbourne – in 2010, before getting engaged the following year, but eventually splitting in 2013.

He and Elizabeth stayed good friends despite their split, and he branded their relationship as the ‘happiest time of his life’, confessing he was upset that things between them didn’t work out.
