The Masked Singer left viewers on the edge of their seats as the identity of two celebrities were revealed during Saturday’s double eviction.
Firstly Dippy Egg was unveiled as Nicky Campbell leaving judge and his Long lost Family co-host Davina McCall gobsmacked as she jumped from her seat and ran onto the stage for a hug.
Struggling to hold back tears she gushed: ‘This is the best surprise, better than any birthday. I love this man!’.
‘Nicky’s a friend, we’ve been working together for thirteen years and I can not believe I didn’t recognise your voice, I didn’t recognise your singing voice. I know your singing voice. This is insane!’.
Next Maypole was unmasked, after landing in the bottom two with Eiffel Tower, and turned out to be none other than Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.

Judges Davina, Rita Ora, Mo Gillian and Jonathan Ross were joined on the panel by Sir Lenny Henry, however nobody managed to guess correctly.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, some viewers were left emotional by Nicky’s shock reveal and surprise reunion with pal Davina.
One wrote: ‘How did Nicky Campbell, dressed as a dippy egg singing, make me so emotional?’.
While a second said: ‘Nicky Campbell and Davina reunion got me crying’.
And a third said: ‘Well getting a bit emotional watching Nicky Campbell dressed as a Dippy egg, singing Moon River is not how I expected tonight to go… but here we are’.
Someone else wrote: ‘I thought Nicky Campbell was absolutely superb’.
Following the show Nicky described his time as Dippy Egg as ‘incredible’ before discussing Davina’s reaction.
Saying:’ Oh, she was emotional. I was emotional at the end doing the song again. It was incredible’.

‘I was emotional all the way through just trying to see her through the mask. Each performance, I could just sort of make her out, and I was thinking, “it’s so near, yet so far away!’.
Melody, who also won the n version of the show in 2022, said she returned as the series as was ‘all positive’.
Saying: ‘You actually just get to have fun, and it’s been lovely bringing this character to life!’.
Melody also revealed she had written a ‘whole biography’ for Maypole in a bid to stay in character throughout her time on stage.

Last week saw Owl revealed as none other than ITV icon Lorraine Kelly, 64, with the moment leaving viewers and judges stunned as the broadcaster took off her huge mask to a wild applause from the studio audience.
The panel joined by Ellie Goulding however nobody managed to guess it was in fact Lorraine who had been strutting her stuff on stage.
With host Joel Dommet exclaiming: ‘This might be one of the best reveals we’ve ever had on the show!’.
Unable to wipe the huge smile off her face, Lorraine gushed: ‘I’ve loved being Owl, I’ve loved every single second, the show is so joyful.’
