Bondi Sands owner Shaun Wilson has splashed out $8million to live next door to Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.
The businessman, who co-founded the fake tan brand with Blair James, has poured some of his lavish earnings into the purchase of a sprawling Byron Bay mansion.
Shaun and his fiancée Tess Shanahan have snapped up a six-bedroom home in what has been dubbed Byron Bay’s ‘Golden Grid’, according to realestate.com.
The couple will have some very famous neighbours as Hollywood star Chris and his wife Elsa, as well as his brother Liam Hemsworth, own multimillion-dollar properties in the area.
Shaun’s new luxury property, which he bought for $8.26million, sits on an elevated 1010sqm block and features a modern exterior with a columned porch area.

The mansion features an open-plan living and dining area complete with a sleek kitchen island and breakfast bar, as well as two sprawling lounge areas.
The kitchen boasts lavish amenities including a butler’s pantry, integrated Liebherr fridge and Ilve oven, while there is also a pizza oven and barbecue outside.
The outdoor dining area also boasts a sunken firepit area perfect for entertaining and it overlooks the saltwater pool and spa area.
As well as the six-bedroom main property, there is also a self-contained studio at the bottom of the garden with direct access to the pool.

The house has been acclaimed for its design, with builder Ian Heanes previously scooping up a North Coast HIA Best Renovation award for the mansion.
The property dates all the way back to the 1880s but has had a very modern overhaul and now boasts chic and modern appliances and furnishings.
Aussie actor Chris and his wife Elsa live with their three children in an eight-bedroom Balinese-style house in Byron Bay, which they bought in 2014 for $7million.
His brother Liam followed in his footsteps and bought 37 hectares of land in Byron Bay for $6.8million in 2021, before submitting plans to build a $14.6million mansion on the site.

Shaun – the son of AFL star Garry Wilson – has now snapped up the property in the A-list hotspot months on from the proposal and his huge Bondi Sands’ payday.
Last year, Shaun and his business partner Blair sold their brand Bondi Sands to Japanese skincare giant Kao Corporation in a massive partnership deal.
They made a small fortune with their globally popular self-tanning brand in the $450million deal, more than a decade after first launching the company in 2012.
At the time, Shaun said the huge partnership deal with Kao would be transformative for the brand, which is already sold in 32 countries.

‘America is a big focus for the company, we just launched into Walmart so that’s 4000 doors next month. We also have strong distribution with Ulta, Walgreens, CVS and Target, and we are leaders on Amazon.
‘We want to be a leader in the global skincare protection business […] We’ve got the fastest growing SPF business in , and in the UK.’
Japanese company Kao is the manufacturer and marketer of several global beauty brands including John Frieda, Jergens, Curél and Bioré.
