alert-–-the-chase-viewers-left-fuming-as-they-rush-to-defend-contestant-over-‘unfair-treatment’-on-the-showAlert – The Chase viewers left FUMING as they rush to defend contestant over ‘unfair treatment’ on the show

The Chase viewers were left raging as they argued one of the players was treated unfairly on Tuesday’s episode.

In the latest episode of the ITV show Beth, Suzanne, Matt and Dave all battled it out against chaser Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty.

Headmaster Dave was the first contestant to bag £7K home for his team, after storming his way though the first round.

But fans didn’t agree with Dave’s final sum and they thought he deserved more.

Viewers remarked he was not allowed one answer during his cash builder round, hence he deserved to leave with £8K instead.

When asked about the location of a mountain range, Dave actually had the right answer up his sleeve but stumbled a bit over his words.

He said: ‘Snodoni..erm, Snowdon,’ but despite Snowdon being the correct answer, he seemed to say Snowdonia at first, a mountainous region in Wales.

Based on The Chase’s rule, Bradley told him he could not allow it as they ‘have to accept his first answer.’

But fans leaped to Dave’s defence, as they claimed Chasers themselves happen to make mistakes sometimes and they are still allowed their answers – blasting the unjust rule.

‘Snowdon, snowdonia… bit harsh #TheChase,’ penned a viewer candidly.

Another fan said raging: ‘He said Snowdon, f*** off Bradley! #TheChase.’

‘Well played Dave #TheChase,’ said one viewer complimenting the contestant.

It’s not the first time the ITV hit quizzing show has come under scrutiny – after viewers have claimed the show is ‘fixed’ after being left shocked at how ‘easy’ the questions were in the final chase.

The team were competing for a £100,000 prize in the final round after all four contestants made it back from the cash builder.

They also had brainbox Joann on their side, who had single handedly won £90,000 of the team’s prize pot.

However, they met their match when they faced up against The Beast (Mark Labbett) in the final chase, beating their 18 steps with 27 seconds remaining.

The Beast sailed through the round, answering just one question wrong, but viewers at home were left complaining that his questions were too easy, claiming they too knew all the answers and insisting the show was ‘rigged’ to stop the team pocketing £100,000.

This isn’t the first time viewers have accused The Chase of fixing the results.

Paul Sinha nicknamed ‘The Sinnerman’ recently came under fire after he stopped a team winning their £90,000 prize by offering up an ‘incorrect’ answer.

In one of the jackpot-ending answers, Paul, 53, was asked which former member of One Direction is the father of Bear Payne.

While the answer is Liam Payne, The Sinnerman appeared to answer Ian, with Bradley saying ‘correct’ and swiftly moving on.
