The Block’s Kyle and Leslie have shared their theory on why Leah and Ash still can’t sell their house more than a month after the renovation show’s finale.

And the reality TV stars think the popularity of Channel Nine’s ratings juggernaut may ironically be to blame for the lack of interest in House 2.

The Block ‘probably adds a lot of value onto the property because it’s on TV’ firefighter Kyle Cottone told Yahoo Lifestyle on Saturday – but the behind-the scenes nature of the show also revealed each home’s true worth.

‘It’s a case of the cat’s out of the bag, so post-show everyone knows what it’s worth so they can start low-balling you,’ he added.

But Kyle also admitted that the design of the much-maligned home may have been a factor it its failure to sell.

‘I didn’t feel like Leah and Ash shouldn’t have made money, but I also thought that maybe they had the least appealing house to the masses,’ he said of the modern art-deco property.

It comes after Leah and Ash suffered another embarrassment after their nightmare auction result last month.

The couple were left devastated after their stunning five-bedroom, four-bathroom pad was passed in for $2.9million.

Now, a delightful bungalow located only a few doors away from their lavish renovation in Melbourne’s Hampton East has just sold.

Listed for $2.09million, the gorgeous pad features four-bedrooms and one-bathroom, reports Domain.

The home features a cosy mix of modern style with classic ‘California Bungalow’.

Highlights of the home include a rear ‘entertainment deck’, expansive gardens and a large built-in front porch with timber finishings.

The beautifully preserved home also retains many features of the classic Californian Bungalow style, including bay windows, timber finishings and oak flooring.

There’s also a stylish modern bathroom, kitchen and updated living areas.

Meanwhile, Leah and Ash remain desperate to sell their amazing renovation.

The couple have been left floundering with ‘no takers’ in sight, after one buyer, who was prepared to pay $3.1million, dropped out last month.
