The Block’s Courtney Freeman has revealed a major career change after she and husband Grant controversially landed in second place on the hit renovation show earlier this year.

The 32-year-old events accountant has just rolled out a new range of stylish home ware she has dubbed the Moditerranean Collection.

Courtney shared a video featuring the products to her Lazy Stylist brand website.

Featured in the collection is a small desk lamp with a marbled hood, stone vases and furniture.

In a new interview with Yahoo Lifestyle on Tuesday, Courtney revealed that the collection was a tribute to her experience on The Block.

‘Every piece has a story, named after the people and places that were part of this wild adventure.

‘We’ve used materials like natural stone and timber that reflect the textures used in our Block home.’

Courtney said that she started working on the collection straight after she and Grant finished filming the reality show.

And now the one-time event accountant has moved into design full-time.

In a quirky move, Courtney has branded one her new vases the ‘Jules’ – a homage to the high profile producer of the Block, Julian Cress.

‘He believed in us and gave us this incredible opportunity, so it felt right to honour him in the collection,’ she gushed.

Elsewhere in the chat Courtney described her ‘Moditerranean’ style a term she created while appearing on The Block to describe her renovation approach.

‘To me, Moditerranean is all about merging the timeless charm of the Mediterranean design with a fresh, modern twist.

‘But it’s more than a design style; it’s a vibe. It’s about creating spaces that feel relaxed and full of personality, where you can truly feel at home.’

It comes after fans were shocked during the Block auction when Courtney and Grant’s house came in second – while sisters Maddy and Charlotte Harry took home the crown and an eye-watering $1.65million profit.

The nail-biting Block finale was the most profitable auction day in the show’s history after Adrian Portelli, 35, bought all five houses leaving each team with a share of the $5.43million in profits.

Courtney and Grant landed $1.35million in the sale but the property was a sour victory after claims of ‘rigging’ emerged following the Block auction

Billionaire businessman Portelli, who made history when he snapped up every Block home on Phillip Island for $15.03million, told Nova’s Jase & Lauren last month that the auction order was pre-determined.

‘We hand-selected the auction order to make sure the girls [Maddy and Charlotte Harry] went last. So we can get them to win,’ Adrian began.

The Harry sisters became the youngest-ever auction winners of The Block, with their renovated Phillip Island property selling for $3.5million.

Portelli revealed it was decided their house would be the last to go to auction, in order to increase the drama.

‘The girls cared. They came in late. They were the underdogs, were picked on, were bullied,’ said Adrian, who has also declared that 2024 was his last year on The Block.

He said Maddy and Charlotte were informed in advance as to why their property would be auctioned last, adding the other contestants were kept in the dark.

‘It was just the girls [who were in on the plan]. How good is that? They are the sweetest and innocent and were playing the game the best.’

Maddy and Charlotte also took home an extra $100,000 for their monumental victory, on their four-bedroom, three-bathroom home which had a $1.85million reserve.

Meanwhile, Courtney and Grant are now hoping to expand their family, reported New Idea in November.

‘We want to start a family! That was on the cards before The Block but we put it on hold. So, we’d love to continue doing that,’ Courtney told the publication.

She went on to say how proud she was of herself and husband-of-three-years Grant, 30, following their stint on The Block.

‘We had a vision from the start. I have no regrets about what we did—I’d do it all again tomorrow if I could,’ she said.

‘We were adamant from day one that we would always be ourselves—the good, the bad and the ugly.’
