Horrifying footage has captured the moment a car smashed into several vehicles after zipping through traffic on a busy road. 

The terrifying collision took place on Hale Street in Paddington, Brisbane, at 9.45pm last Friday.

Dascham footage from another car was shared to Facebook and showed the driver of a black Toyota Celica barrelling down the left lane. 

The motorist attempted to drive between a white SUV and a blue hatchback, but the car collided with the two vehicles.

The horror smash caused the SUV to spin out of control crash into a barricade before rolling and landing on its side.

The collision brought traffic to a standstill with debris scattered along the road for several meters. 

The driver of the SUV had been preparing to exit the motorway just moments before the collision took place. 

Paramedics rushed to the scene and a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told Daily Mail , that four people were treated by emergency services. 

She said they were all taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail officers attended the scene. 

‘A 19-year-old Moorooka man has been issued a traffic infringement notice [for] careless driving, due care and attention,’ she said.

The crash happened just metres away from Suncorp Stadium, where the Brisbane Broncos played the Manly Sea Eagles in front of thousands of spectators.

Hundreds of thousands of football fans descended on the Queensland capital city  for the annual ‘Magic Round’ fixture.

Social media users slammed the dangerous driving by the motorist behind the wheel of the sedan.   

‘This is the s**t that scares me…’ one wrote. 

‘Just minding your own business then all hell breaks loose,’ another wrote.

Others were quick to express their concern for the motorist and the passengers in the other two vehicles. 

‘Hope everyone was OK,’ one wrote. 

Some were left baffled by the dangerous manouvre carried out by the sedan driver. 

‘On what planet did they ‘think’ that was going to work?’ one wrote.
