A teenager has been charged with terrorism offences over an alleged plot to attack a school in Brisbane’s north.
A 16-year-old boy was allegedly attempting to buy firearms online with an intention to carry out an attack, according to the Courier Mail.
The Queensland Joint Counter-Terrorism Team has charged the boy with one count of acts done in preparation for, or planning, terrorist acts.
He fronted Brisbane Children’s Court on August 17.
The maximum penalty for the offence is life in prison.
There is reportedly no ongoing threat to public safety.
