Brett Goldstein is set to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming Netflix rom-com, Office Romance.
But in an interesting twist, it turns out Brett, 44, has long had a crush on the newly single Jenny From The Block songstress.
As word of their new film made headlines, fans brought up Brett’s infatuation with the singer, 55 – with one account sharing a clip of the Ted Lasso actor pining over the star on his podcast.
On an episode of his podcast, Films To Be Buried With, Brett referred to the 2019 film in which she played a stripper, Hustlers, as the ‘sexiest’ movie of the decade – before drooling over a scene of her cosying up to Constance Wu.
‘It’s really good on every level,’ he gushed of the movie. ‘F**king hell! 50! She’s 50! I love her!’

He also gave a shout-out to a scene which saw Jennifer’s character cuddle with Constance in a fur coat.
‘There’s a scene on the roof, she’s sat in her big fur coat, and the girl, the new girl comes up and she’s shy, and Jennifer Lopez gives her a cuddle in a big fur coat, that puts between her legs, like cuddles her, and I thought, “I’d never wanted to be cuddled more.” Like that is one of the best cuddles,’ he proclaimed.
That same fan account also pulled up a screenshot of a video Brett once posted that featured Jennifer.
Expressing his fondness for the star, he added a heart-eyes emoji to the post.
‘Never forget that Brett Goldstein loves @JLo …Said she was his crush and now starring in a romcom together…,’ the account wrote in the tweet of his screenshot. ‘You go, manifesting king.’
On Reddit, a fan said of the casting: ‘Brett adores Jennifer Lopez so I’m happy he’s getting to act with his crush!’
Others on Twitter gushed over just how happy they were to see Goldstein work with his crush.

The casting comes during an interesting time in Jennifer’s personal life – she is back on the market after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
As for Goldstein, he dated comedian Beth Rylance back in 2021, and in 2022 The Sun reported they had split.
Deadline reported Tuesday that Jennifer and Brett will star in the Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance.
Goldstein – who is known for starring in the show Ted Lasso – is also writing the screenplay with Joe Kelly.
Other cast and plot details are still under wraps, while a set release date has yet to be announced.
