Taylor Swift has filed a cease and desist against Kanye West after the erratic, deeply troubled rapper posted a series of sexually explicit messages about the pop star and two of the entertainment industry’s most famous men.
In an unhinged hours-long rant, West, 47, claimed – without evidence – that Swift, 35, had sexual intercourse with both Justin Bieber, 31, and Harry Styles, 31 at the same time – and described the supposed encounter in disturbingly graphic terms.
Now, one source has told the Daily Mail that West’s behavior has crossed a legal redline, ‘This time he has gone too far. His claims are not just false they are defamatory.’
‘This isn’t just [West] gossiping. This is [West] sexually harassing a woman, defaming her and intending to cause harm to her and to her career.’
The insider said that Swift feels she is ‘left with no other option’ than to issue a cease and desist, which is a formal written notice demanding that the recipient immediately stop an allegedly illegal activity. It typically serves as a final warning before more serious legal action is taken.
Sources close to NFL star Travis Kelce, 35, Swift’s boyfriend, say he is outraged – and Kelce, according to this source, suggested that he’d like to confront West physically ‘man to man.’
The Daily Mail is also told that Kelce is frustrated by the fact that public responses to West’s tweet will only ‘give more attention to the lies.’
‘Taylor’s clearly upset, and Travis is obviously supporting her,’ the source said. ‘There must be consequences. West would never dare say this to her face.’

Sources close to Styles said he is angered by this latest West stunt. People in Style’s camp were quick to issue unequivocal denials and offer their support for Swift.
‘Harry does not have any contact with Taylor and has not for many years. But if he is asked to confirm that this is a lie he will gladly do so.’
‘He finds Ye’s words so disrespectful,’ the source said. ‘To bring Harry into this was uncalled for. This never happened and Harry will lend his support however needed.’
A source close to Justin Bieber said that West’s claims are ‘100 percent untrue.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives of Swift and West, both declined to comment for this article.
Indeed, this ugly episode is just the latest in a long string of disturbing incidents provoked by West and directed toward Swift.
West infamously humiliated Swift onstage at MTV’s Video Music Awards in 2009, when Swift was just 19 years old. He interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, grabbing the microphone from her and telling shocked onlookers that the award should have gone to Beyonce.
Then, in 2016, West rapped in his song, Famous, ”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous”.
Swift responded with a statement denouncing the song’s ‘strong misogynistic message,’ though West charged that Swift had permitted him to use those lyrics – a claim Swift denied.
Unapologetic, West took the row a step further in the video for Famous, which featured a lifelike wax figure of a naked woman who bore a striking resemblance to Swift.

At the time, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Swift felt like she had been ‘assaulted’ when she saw the video, describing it as a ‘revenge porn music video which strips my body naked.’
Months later, Kim Kardashian, 44, then married to West, shared snippets of a phone call between West and Swift seeming to suggest that Swift had told Kanye the lyrics were acceptable.
But four years after, in 2020, a longer 25-minute video surfaced online vindicating Swift and revealing that West had never told her he was going to call her a ‘b****.’
After that, the drama seemed to die down.
‘Everyone believed that this whole saga was finally over,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘[Swift] kept her distance and has maintained her silence every time West has come for her or said something negative about her.’
But West’s seeming obsession with Swift surfaced again on Monday, when he tweeted – then deleted – an allegation that Swift is responsible for the fact that he has never been invited by the NFL to headline a Super Bowl halftime show.
Certainly, West’s behavior has grown more extreme in recent years. In February, he tweeted, ‘I’m a Nazi,’ ‘I love Hitler,’ ‘Hitler was soooo fresh’ and ‘You can get money with Jewish people but they always gonna steal.’
Swift didn’t respond but after West’s latest rant, sources say she realizes that staying quiet may no longer be a viable solution.
Certainly, West’s behavior has grown more extreme in recent years.

During his latest social media rant on Wednesday, he also took aim at his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, making crude sexual references about her.
However, his latest outburst directed at Taylor Swift may prove a miscalculation. She is no longer the 19-year-old newcomer he embarrassed on stage at the VMAs.
She is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with an army of fans to defend her and an NFL player at her side.
