Taylor Swift has denied rumors that she wed ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn before their shock split in early 2023.
The singer’s longtime publicist Tree Paine took to Twitter Thursday to slam claims made by the gossip page DeuxMoi who claimed Swift married Alwyn in ‘either 2020 or 2021’ but it was never made legal.
It was reported earlier this year that Swift and Alwyn had broken up after nearly six-years of dating.
She is now dating NFL star Travis Kelce — who she returned to in Missouri after 12 hours in London.
Unsubstantiated claims surfaced in 2022 that the couple were ‘secretly engaged’ and that Swift was wearing a ring in private.
‘Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi,’ Paine wrote.
She insisted ‘there was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind’ and that the outlet was ‘insane’ for reporting otherwise.

‘This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these,’ she concluded.
Deuxmoi — a popular Instagram page that re-posts blind items about celebrities from anonymous sources — made the bombshell claims Thursday in response to a submitted post relating to Swift.
The anonymous submission called out Swifties for running with theories about the pair’s relationship following the streaming release of Swift’s Midnights bonus track You’re Losing Me — which many believe is about Alwyn.
Her collaborator Jack Antonoff called the timeline of the couple’s split into question Wednesday after revealing the song was written in December 2021.
The source suggested that it may not be a breakup song but instead a song inspired by an ‘argument.’
They also claimed Swift was seen with Alwyn shortly before their 2023 split based on past blind items and called out Deuxmoi for their marriage claims.
‘She DID have a ceremony in 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by more than one person ,’ the drama page responded, adding: ‘It was NEVER made legal.’
The account’s owner said they would ‘die on this hill’ and ‘put it on my tombstone.

‘I have no reason to lie, I could give a sh*t what she does!!!!! I’m sorry she didn’t tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!!’
After Paine called them out, Deuxmoi apologized to Swift while also criticizing the publicist’s ‘choice of words.’
‘Well I make zero dollars from lying.. can publicists say the same. Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words,’ they wrote.
‘Either way, I apologize to Taylor.’
The original Deuxmoi post was inspired by Swifties who went into overdrive following the streaming release of You’re Losing Me this week.
It is available on music streaming platforms for the first time and features telling lyrics like, ‘My heart won’t start anymore for you’ and ‘I wouldn’t marry me either.’
The song was previously released digitally via her web store in May.
Elated Swifites took to X to express both their happiness at the release and hash out mixed feelings about Taylor’s ex Joe.
One fan comically mused: ‘Legend has it you’re losing me was written using Joe Alwyn’s tears as ink.’
Another humorously shared a photo of a video game character glued to their computer as a fire broke out in their bedroom.
‘Not now sweetie ‘you’re losing me’ is out now on streaming platforms,’ the fan tweeted on X.
One couldn’t believe the track was now widely available as they shared a GIF of Oprah Winfrey. ‘NO WAY…. YOU’RE LOSING ME OUT EVERYWHERE???? YOU’RE KIDDING ME??’ the fan wrote.
Another devoted fan shared a photo of Taylor sitting at the Grammys beside an overjoyed Camila Cabello, who represented all Swifites. An image of the You’re Losing Me track was edited over Swift.
‘You’re losing me is finally on streaming platforms… THANK YOU MOTHER,’ the fan tweeted alongside the image.
Another shared video of Vice President Kamala Harris on the day President Biden won the election. ‘You’re losing me finally out on all streaming platforms i prayed for times like this,’ the fan wrote.
For others, the track brought up mixed feelings about Taylor’s six-year long relationship with Joe.
‘Happy for people who wanted You’re Losing Me to be available to stream but I personally can’t listen to that song or I will think about [TRAIN DRIVES BY] [TIRES SCREECHING]-ing Joe Alwyn,’ another wrote.
‘Merry Christmas Joe Alwyn. ‘Stop You’re Losing Me’ is out on streaming,’ another posted.

One person stood up for the actor: ‘I just hope now that you’re losing me is on streaming services people DON’T go and bully Joe like LEAVE HIM ALONE! Haven’t you bullied him enough when we first heard the song!? LEAVE JOE ALWYN ALONE!!’
Last year, The Sun claimed she has been engaged to her boyfriend for a ‘few months.’
They alleged Swift was wearing an engagement ring ‘behind closed doors’ and that the couple only informed their close friends of the news.
‘Taylor and Joe are incredibly happy, and very, very in love,’ a source claiming to be close to Joe told the outlet at the time.
‘They’ve actually been engaged for a few months but have only told their inner-inner circle — basically immediate family, and trusted, very old friends.
‘Everyone has been sworn to secrecy, too.’
The insider alleged that Joe presented Taylor with a ‘beautiful ring’ but ‘she only wears it when she’s at home, i.e., behind closed doors.’
Again, only a handful of people know details and Taylor hasn’t even told some of her team about the engagement,’ they claim.
The source also told The Sun that Taylor and Joe ‘want their love to stay away from the cameras as much as possible’ and that their alleged engagement is ‘just for them.
‘And if and when they do exchange vows, there most definitely won’t be any Vogue, Rolling Stone or Hello! magazines there. It will be simple and elegant — like them.’
According to the outlet, there were ‘no specific wedding details.’
The Lover singer reportedly kicked off her now-ended romance with Joe just months after her shock split from Loki actor, Tom Hiddleston, in September 2016.
Taylor gave fans insight into their burgeoning romance by alluding to Joe in lyrics on her hit 2017 album Reputation, including the song Gorgeous where she recalls ‘making fun of’ his English accent.

The Grammy Award-winner opened up even more on her 2019 album Lover, where she gushed about her ‘London boy’ on multiple tracks.
The song Cruel Summer is also rumored to be about the overlap between the beginning of her romance with Joe and the end of her fling with Hiddleston.
Joe told The Sunday Times in 2018 that he finds it ‘flattering’ that Taylor uses him as her musical muse.
Just two years later, Taylor welcomed her beau into the songwriting world by allowing him to pen lyrics for her 2020 alum, Folklore.
Using the pseudonym ‘William Bowery,’ Joe co-wrote two songs for the Grammy Award-winning album and three more songs for Folklore’s sister record Evermore.
Although she feels safe opening up in her music, Taylor previously stated that her relationship with the British hunk ‘isn’t up for discussion’ in the press.
She discussed the decision to keep their romance ‘private’ in her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana, which included rare footage of herself and Joe.
She described ‘falling in love with someone who had a really wonderfully normal, balanced, grounded life’ and they ‘decided together that we wanted our relationship to be private.’
Though the pair have yet to make a red carpet debut, they’ve attended several high-profile events together – including the Golden Globes in 2020.
Taylor has dated a number of high-profile men over the course of her young life, including pop rocker Harry Styles, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, DJ Calvin Harris, singer Joe Jonas and rock heartthrob John Mayer.
She is currently in a relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end kicked off their romance in late September months after his failed attempt at giving her his phone number at her Eras Tour concert in Missouri.
She’s since attended a handful of his football games, often cheering him on alongside his mother Donna.
Kelce flew to Argentina earlier this month to watch Swift perform in Argentina with her father Scott Swift, who he met for the first time on that trip.
The following day Swift sent her fans into a frenzy as she paid tribute to Kelce at her show by changing the lyrics to her song Karma and sharing a passionate kiss with him moments after she got off stage.
In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, Kelce admitted that he is constantly blown away by Swift’s ‘genius’ and that her world view is ‘right up my alley’.
‘Everybody knows I’m a family guy,’ he told the outlet. ‘Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.’
Though Kelce has ‘never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them’ — referring to Swift’s superstar status — he is ‘not running away from any of it.’
He knows that the Mean singer has a ‘magnifying glass on her’ and that paparazzi follow her wherever she goes. But that doesn’t stop her from ‘just living, enjoying life.’
Kelce said that he originally kept coy about their romance because he ‘didn’t want to say anything that would push Taylor away.’
Last month, DailyMail.com learned that Swift has been blown away by the way Kelce has ‘courted her’ like a ‘gentleman’.
‘Taylor is blown away right now and her family is all about Travis. She is trying to keep it together, but is obviously falling in love with him and he feels the same way,’ they dished.
‘He courted her and it was not her typical, ‘Hey, you’re hot, let’s go out,’ sorta thing. He actually courted her and she feels like she is the luckiest gal in the world right now.
‘It is no coincidence that all she had to do was look outside of Hollywood.’
The insider explained that the singer’s parents were ‘super harsh critics’ when it came to her love life, but even they are believed to be ‘fully supportive’ of the new pairing.
‘All that they ever want is for Taylor to be with someone who keeps her safe and who loves her for her,’ they explained.
‘Travis is a gentleman and, although it is maybe too soon to say, everyone really feels like she has finally met her match.’
According to the source, his family also ‘adore her’ and all of her friends are ‘legit so happy for her.’
