Tallulah Willis has opened up about her ongoing recovery from an eating disorder, saing it’s ok to not ‘have it all sorted out’.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram and shared several childhood snaps of herself and told how she was ‘romanticizing the unhealhy times’.

Tallulah, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, said she hoped voicing her thoughts would help others in a similar situation.  

In a candid post, she wrote: ‘ED recovery babies – sending love to you all, I’m having an intense moment of romanticizing unhealthy times and how it felt to move through the day in that size body. Just wanted to voice it because I know (hope) I’m not alone.

‘This little raggymuffin is so special and it’s strange to know that and want to give her abundance and vitality – LIFE!

‘Whilst at the EXACT same moment feeling pulled by an old desire, deep down from the pit spot in your belly, to compare to the ‘better’ version of me. AND it’s ok to be in the middle of the messy and not totally have it all sorted yet.’

Tallulah’s sister Rumer praised her sibling for her honesty, writing: ‘You are magic, your truth is so vital and I’m so lucky to be your sister.’ 

The model Helena Christensen wrote: ‘You’re so wise and beautiful inside out.’

Another user wrote: ‘Seriously, write a book. You have everything it takes to do it. I can only imagine how many people would find some level of help by reading a memoir.’

A fourth added: ‘You are beautiful in every way imaginable. I’m so proud of you everyday. Thank you for being a light to everyone around you.’

A fifth wrote: ‘I’m so proud of you T and the way you use your platform. We need more people like you, miss you so much.’

Tallulah previously spoke about living with anorexia during an interview with Vogue. 

During the sit-down, she explained that ‘I’ve been reluctant to talk about [anorexia nervosa] because, after getting sober at age 20, restricting food has felt like the last vice that I got to hold on to.’

The social media personality also spoke about rapidly dropping weight after starting a course of medication for ADHD.

She stated: ‘Like so many people with eating disorders, my sense of myself went haywire’.

Emma then discussed the drastic physical changes she underwent up until recently.

‘By the spring of 2022, I weighed about 84 pounds. I was always freezing. I was calling mobile IV teams to come to my house,’ she said.

The media figure concluded by expressing that she had since addressed her eating disorder and had learned new methods of self-care. 

‘Recovery is probably lifelong, but I now have the tools to be present in all facets of my life,’ she stated.
