Sylvia Jeffreys has opened up about her secrets for successfully overcoming the ‘marathon’ of putting her two young sons to bed every night.
The Today Extra host, 38, revealed in a piece for Nine Honey that she adheres to a strict routine for getting her sons Oscar, four, and Henry, three, to go to sleep.
‘I have been ritualistically enduring a marathon every night for the past few years, bed time with two children,’ she began.
Sylvia revealed her secret was to juggle the demanding requests of her two sons as she was putting them to bed, until they managed to tire themselves out.
‘So begins the to-and-fro between two bedrooms; like a game of whack-a-mole, one goes down and the other gets up.

‘They then soften their approach with kisses and cuddles. My three-year-old throws an arm around my neck and pulls me in tight and as I tuck in his big brother for the 36th time.’
She added once she had finally put her kids to bed she felt a ‘runner’s high’ akin to the joy she gets from competing in marathons across the country.
Jeffreys shares her two sons with her Sky News journalist husband Peter, the younger brother of Today show host Karl Stefanovic.
