Sydney Sweeney dissed her new film Madame Web after it tanked at the box office during her hilarious SNL opening monologue on Saturday.
The Euphoria actress, 26 — who took on SNL hosting duties for the first time — also joked that she achieved her famously fit figure by taking the popular weight loss drug Ozempic.
Continuing with the self-deprecating jokes, she then poked fun at those affair rumors with Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell, who made a surprise appearance during the sketch show.
Sydney stepped onto the stage wearing a figure-hugging, white dress that clung to her toned frame and was greeted by a cheers from the live audience.
Sydney – who is currently engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino – brought the affair speculation that revolved around her and the Top Gun: Maverick star, 35, last year while gushing about her fiancé to the crowd.

The Marvel film — which was released earlier on Valentine’s Day and also stars Dakota Johnson as the title character — has been panned by critics and currently has a score of 13% on Rotten Tomatoes
‘But the craziest rumor is that I was having an affair with my co-star Glenn Powell. That’s obviously not true,’ Sweeney began.
‘Me and my fiancé produced the movie together, and he was there the entire shoot,’ she explained.
‘And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams, and we’re still together and stronger than ever. He even came here tonight to support me. Can we cut to him?’ Sydney asked.
However, the camera then cut to Glen in the audience rather than showing Davino. The actress quickly exclaimed, ‘That’s not my fiancé! He’s in my dressing room!’
The joke comes shortly after Powell opened up about wanting to work with Sydney again on another project while attending the 2024 SAG Awards earlier this month.
‘When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun,’ the actor told Variety. ‘We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got. You know we’re here for it.’
‘It’s been really wonderful to read a lot. Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time,’ the actor said.
‘She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.’

At the beginning of her monologue, Sweeney expressed her gratitude to the crowd as she was welcomed to the stage with warm applause.
After introducing herself, the star added, ‘You might have seen me in Anyone But You or Euphoria. You definitely did not see me in Madame Web.’
The Marvel film which was released earlier on Valentine’s Day has been panned by critics and currently has a score of 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘But I do have a new film coming out called Immaculate. I play a nun, so it’s perfect casting. But tonight, I’m excited for everyone to get to know the real me,’ The White Lotus actress expressed.
She explained how she is from Spokane, Washington and recalled her parents driving her down to Los Angeles so she could attend auditions.
‘That’s a 19-hour drive. And I’m so grateful to them for believing in me. And I think the reason they did is because I presented them with a five-point plan to break into acting. I still have it.’
The simple plan then appeared on the screen and she added, ‘Check it out. It says, audition, get an agent, do commercials and short films, then get my SAG card.’
After talking about a ‘backup plan’ in case acting didn’t pan out, Sydney said, ‘While I’m up here, I do want to talk about some stuff I’ve seen about me online.’
‘Like, I once said that I used to work at Universal Studios and someone online accused me of lying about that, which is insane.’ She then began listing out some Universal characters, such as ‘Shrok, The Munions and Harry Porter.’
The star then joked about taking Ozempic and said, ‘Then a woman went viral on TikTok because she claimed she’s my nutritionist. I’m in shape because I run, avoid sugar, and do Ozempic.’
During the latest SNL episode, Sydney had the chance to show off her comedic skills by taking part in various sketches.

Suddenly, emotional piano music began to play in the background and Andrew gave a speech. ‘Yeah. I just wanted to say you guys seem like really close friends’
‘That’s special. Hope you guys treasure that. Wish I had a group of guys like this. You must really love each other.’ He then made one of the plays – played by Marcello Hernandez – to say, ‘I love you guys’
Afterwards, Dismukes said, ‘Nice. Anyway, you fellas enjoy yourselves.’ He then sat back down at the table with Sydney and revealed, ‘Well, I don’t think we’ll be hearing from them anymore’

Confused, she asked, ‘Babe, what was that? I thought you were going to tell them to be quiet.’
He explained, ‘Oh, they’ll be quiet now. You see, nothing shuts up a group of guys like an earnest expression of how much they mean to each other.’
Just as they started their date night, another table could be heard making a lot of noise. Sweeney decided to take say something and approached the group of women having a girls’ night out.
‘I just wanted to say do you ever think about how your mom is just a girl too?’ she asked them. ‘Just a girl living life for the first time just like you.’
‘You know, this is stupid, but I actually have this photo of my mom painting my nursery while she was pregnant with me if y’all want to look at it and think about your moms, you can too.’
After pulling out a picture of her mother, she handed to the group, and they suddenly became emotional while recalling memories with their own moms.
Sweeney then sat back down at the table and told her boyfriend, ‘Nothing quiets up a group of women quite like a reminder of their mother’s humanity.’
Dismukes then asked Sydney about her day at work and she said, ‘Yeah. I cheated on you with my boss, and I think we should break up.’

In another skit – which was a spoof of the 1997 – the actress portrays the character of a head cheerleader named Rochelle at a high school.
She could be seen talking with two of her pals – played by Ego Nwodim and Chloe Fineman – and they updated her on the game she missed due to her being on vacation.
Ego said, ‘Okay. We were losing bad, but then the coach subbed in a new player, and he was fire. The other team complained, but there was no rules saying he couldn’t play.’
‘He totally turned the game around. Everyone was on their feet cheering, and he was so cute,’ Chloe added.

Sydney then asked, ‘Wait, there’s a new star basketball player, and I’m not dating him? What’s his name?’ Fineman answered, ‘Air Bud!’
The camera then showed a dog sitting at a table with other basketball players. Sweeney announced, ‘Step aside, ladies. This one is mine’
She sat down next to the dog and began talking to the animal. ‘You’re Bud, right? I’m Rochelle, head cheerleader. That’s a cool tongue. God, you’re so hairy. I love that. Are you Italian?’
One of the other teammates – played by Marcello Hernandez – cut in to point out that he is a dog
Sweeney began talking with the dog again who started to eat a sandwich. ‘Someone is hungry! You’re eating so fast and just with your mouth’

‘So I heard you had quite the game on Friday. I’m so sorry I missed that. I was on vacation in the Virgin Islands wearing a bikini.’
There was a moment of silence when she paused and looked at the dog, and then exclaimed, ‘Shut up! I’m not even that tan! Oh my God, wait, I love your necklace. “I am micro chipped.” Oh my God, that’s so beautiful. I’m into poetry too.’
One of the other teammates – played by Marcello Hernandez – cut in to point out that he is a dog.
She snapped back, ‘Whatever, Tyler. You had your shot with me and you blew it. I gave you a chance to change and you refused.’ He then asked, ‘How was I supposed to get taller?’
Sweeney began talking with the dog again who started to eat a sandwich. ‘Someone is hungry! You’re eating so fast and just with your mouth.’
‘Wait, aren’t you embarrassed to be eating like that in front of a girl? I guess not. You don’t care at all, which of course only makes you hotter.’
Sydney replied, ‘Whatever, Trent. You had your shot with me and you blew it. You couldn’t be what I needed you to be.’ He responded with, ‘I’m sorry my family isn’t rich’
Suddenly, another person entered the cafeteria and announced it was time for Bud’s walk. ‘Hey, Bud, ready for your walk? I got your little girlfriend outside’
The camera then cut to another dog waiting outdoors, causing Sweeney to become furious. ‘Wait, you have a girlfriend? Were you ever gonna tell me about her? Are you just going to sit there and let me throw myself at you like an idiot?’
‘Oh, so now you’re not going to talk to me? Fine,’ she said and eventually stalked off
But Ego swooped in and also began to flirt with Air Bud to conclude the sketch
In another skit, Sydney was joined by Chloe Troast as they portrayed interior designers for Airbnb, but specialize in ‘bland, generic and downright uninviting’ décor
After introducing that their names were both Chanel, but with different pronunciations, Sydney revealed, ‘And together, we can make your rentals pop with plain furniture and art for nobody’

Some of the art pieces that they feature in Airbnb’s include ‘Albert Einstein with his tongue out, a black and white child holding a red balloon’
She added, ‘And of course, a single unsettling photo of the family that actually lives here.’
The duo also explained that the designers are also ‘functional’ and include ‘an impossibly complicated lock box, 700 K cups’
Sydney also added that there is also a ’12-page packet on how to take out the garbage’
At one point, one customer gave a review of her experience with the interior designers
The happy customer explained, ‘Before Chanel and Chanel decorated my Airbnb, it was a little drab, but now there’s some writing on the wall’
At one point, the pair talked about some of their past work and referenced to the now-viral Wonka experience in Glasgow
