An agency launched by supermodel Naomi Campbell and multi-millionaire Umar Kamani is recruiting interns for jobs that require extensive experience.

Mr Kamani, the founder of online fast-fashion giant PrettyLittleThing, and Ms Campbell, who is reported to be worth £50 million, set up Dubai-based talent agency KC Global Partnerships in September.

In a job advert posted on Instagram, the firm’s director of public relations, Amy Simon, said: ‘I am looking for full-time interns. Please note this is a full-time office role (10-5pm) and travel expenses will be covered.’

The advert states that they are looking for candidates who are ‘confident in working across a range of admin tasks, a keen interest in social media and be confident in uploading content for agency channels, assist directors with their daily tasks including market research, assisting on new business decks and liaising with clients.’

It also said that ‘experience of working in a busy PR/Talent office is preferred but not essential’.

The advert makes no mention of salary but did say the agency would pay travel expenses.

Yesterday when contacted by The Mail on Sunday, the firm’s spokeswoman said that ‘internships are commonplace’, adding: ‘Discussions around hourly rates are suggested during interviews for transparency, depending on the candidate’s involvement.’

One source familiar with the company says the role ‘appears to be more than just a bit of work experience’.

The insider added: ‘The skills being asked for are pretty high-level for an intern. Skills like that are usually meant for jobs that pay around £30,000 to £40,000.’

In May, Mr Kamani, 36, who is reported to have a fortune of £700 million, splashed out £20 million on his wedding to model Nada Adelle, 31.

A week after he and Ms Campbell announced their business venture, it was revealed that she had been banned from being a charity trustee after a UK watchdog found funds were spent on luxury hotels and spa treatments.
