Countless stars have assembled at Allegiant Stadium tonight.

Fortunately, for Mahomes, the Chiefs defense forces a three and out and the 49ers punt the ball away.

Chris Conley manages to catch the punt deep into Chiefs territory. With the way they’ve played today, you wouldn’t bet on them going down the field from there.

This is arguably the worst the Chiefs have ever played in a Super Bowl.

Mahomes is picked by Ji’Ayir Brown. He’s aiming for Kelce but horribly overthrows and it’s an easy grab for thr 49ers defender.

The Chiefs are in major trouble if the 49ers score here.

The third quarter begins but it’s the same old problems for the Chiefs.

Mahomes tosses the ball to Pacheco but he drops it. 49ers defenders swarm all over the running back for a loss of 12 yards.

After Travis Kelce angrily bumped Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on the sidelines, some felt the reaction from the tight end was too strong and proved he is a ‘red flag’ to girlfriend Taylor Swift.

At one point Usher nearly fell completely off stage on his roller skates but he recovered to produce a halftime show masterclass.

A lot for the Chiefs and 49ers to live up to after that.

The eight-time Grammy winner took to the stage for the halftime show at Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.

The 45-year-old R&B was putting on a major showcase of his decades of hits, even as fellow music superstar Taylor Swift threatened to steal the spotlight from her celebrity-filled VIP box as she cheered on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

This year’s halftime extravaganza is being performed by Usher.

Fortunately the Chiefs have got plenty of time to regather as he takes to the stage.

Alex Raskin at Allegiant Stadium: A 55-yard field goal by Jake Moody, some trickery and a 21-yard touchdown catch for Christian McCaffrey have the San Francisco 49ers holding a 10-3 lead over the defending-champion Kansas City Chiefs at halftime of Super Bowl LVIII.

McCaffrey bounced back from a costly first-quarter fumble to score the game’s only touchdown.

The play began with 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy hitting receiver Jauan Jennings with a pass behind the line of scrimmage before Jennings fired across the field to McCaffrey, who scampered in for the easy score.

Travis Kelce was a big story in the first half, but for all the wrong reasons.The Chiefs tight end was seen blowing up at Kansas City head coach Andy Reid on the sidelines after being subbed out on a play that ended in a costly turnover: Isiah Pacheco’s second-quarter fumble.

The irate Kelce nearly barreled over the 65-year-old Reid, but the coach didn’t seem too upset and allowed his tight end to return to action on the next series.

Kelce also had an on-the-field jaw session with 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, although the two never came to blows. For the half, Kelce had one catch and one yard on one target, while girlfriend Taylor Swift was booed loudly when she appeared on the Jumbotron drinking a beer.

The Chiefs had a chance to cut into the 49ers’ lead on the final drive of the half, but after Patrick Mahomes was sacked for the second time, Kansas City was forced to settle for a short field goal from Harrison Butker.

Mahomes’ numbers were decent in the first half (11 of 13 for 123 yards), as were Purdy’s (10 of 15 for 123 yards), but neither starting quarterback can compete with Jennings’ perfect QB rating after his stunning touchdown pass.

Harrison Butker comes on and converts a field goal to finally give the Chiefs their first points of the game.

Not good for this Chiefs offense. They look stunned on the sideline.

Mahomes is scrambling out the pocket again, trying to throw to someone in the end zone.

As he peels off to the left, he’s smashed to the turf by a 49ers defender again.

Taylor Swift sent the crowd into hysterics after she was seen chugging a drink and slamming it down while on the jumbotron at Allegiant Stadium.

Video shows the ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ singer knocking back her drink before emphatically setting it down in front of her.

The Chiefs offense are back on the field and trying to hit back after the 49ers touchdown.

On the first play they get a penlty after a false start from Mecole Hardman.

Kim Kardashians and her sisters landed in Las Vegas on Sunday for the Super Bowl.

The stunning makeup mogul was spotted arriving at the Allegiant Stadium alongside Kourtney, Khloe, and Kendall.

Kim kept a low-key figure in a black baseball cap as she risked a run-in with her A-list enemy Taylor Swift, who arrived shortly before her.

What a play from Kyle Shanahan! It takes nerves of steel to go for a trick play in the Super Bowl but it paid off.

Purdy threw it backwards to Jauan Jennings, who the threw across the pitch to McCaffrey.

Viewers watching the Super Bowl on Paramount+ are reporting problems with the streaming service.

Frustrated watchers subsequently flocked to social media, to see if anyone else was experiencing the same.

You would not think how they’ve started this game that Purdy is playing in his first Super Bowl and Mahomes is in his fourth.

The 49ers star is making his throws look simple, making the right decisions and moving his team up the field – even if they are yet to get their rewards.

The Chiefs cannot get anything going.

They go three and out again after Patrick Mahomes is swallowed up by the brilliant 49ers defense.

The tight end was furious with his head coach, yelling in his face before taking his seat on the bench.

Elon Musk has been spotted in sitting front row with his youngest child at the Super Bowl, after adding a new football-themed ‘like’ animation on X.

The 52-year-old billionaire sat next to his three-year-old son, X AE A-Xii, with whom he shares with ex-partner and singer, Grimes, while wearing black aviators, a t-shirt and jeans at Allegiant Stadium – home of the Raiders.

He also spoke with what seemed to be members of his entourage before kickoff.

On the very next play Isiah Pacheco goes on with his bludgeoning runs, only for the ball to come loose and the 49ers to recover.

That’s a big opportunity wasted by the Chiefs.

So close to the first touchdown of the game! Purdy made a bold throw – aiming for Deebo Samuel in the end zone.

Trent McDuffie was covering the 49ers receiver and managed to swat the ball away at the right time.

Jake Moody comes on for the field goal and bullets a 55-yard field goal, the longest FG in Super Bowl history, through the posts.

Not everyone can be in Las Vegas tonight.

Chiefs fans have turned out in their thousands back home in Kansas City to watch the game.

They’ll be hoping for a wild night later on… and a celebratory parade with their team in the coming days of course.

Usher has been filmed walking through the bowels of the stadium with a vast entourage as he gets ready to perform.

With just under an hour until kickoff, Patrick Mahomes has walked back down the tunnel.

He looks in the zone and ready for the game.

This final hour must feel like an eternity to the players as they face a pain-staking wait.

Kelce addressed the team along with head coach Andy Reid, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones.

But it was Travis’ speech which made the biggest impact, moving Chiefs stars to tears as they eye a third Super Bowl in five years this weekend.

One coach is even quoted as saying: ‘Not even close. The best talk/speech I’ve ever heard.’

The Chiefs have officially designated wide receiver Kadarius Toney as inactive for the Super Bowl.

Toney has not played since Week 15 against the Patriots on December 17, when he tipped a pass directly into the hands of a New England defender.

Scott Swift, the father of Taylor Swift, has been a longtime Philadelphia Eagles fan and a west Pennsylvania native. But he seems to have left all his green behind for Chiefs red.

Swift was seen decked out head-to-toe in Chiefs gear before the big game as he stood next to his famous daughter.

Cameras caught Scott wearing a Chiefs hat, a KC jacket and a team t-shirt hours before the game got underway.

Taylor Swift has landed in Las Vegas to begin her Super Bowl festivities, after hot-footing it from her Eras Tour show in Tokyo – all in the name of boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The pop superstar touched down at Harry Reid Airport in Vegas a few minutes before 4pm EST – 1pm local time – and two-and-a-half hours before the game begins.

The 2024 Super Bowl or Super Bowl LVIII will be contested by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers, led by Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy.

The game will kick off at 6:30pm ET, 3:30pm PT and 11:30pm UK time, and there will be three anthems performed before kick-off.

Rap sensation Post Malone will perform America the Beautiful, Andra Day will sing Lift Every Voice and Sing and Reba McEntire will sing the American National Anthem.

R&B icon Usher is set to perform the Super Bowl half-time show, taking up the duties from Rihanna at last year’s event. While he will not be paid for the performance, Usher is expected to release a new album shortly.

And for the Swifties tuning it, the pop phenomenon Taylor Swift

be attendance for the show piece event.

Speaking to CBS, the Chiefs coach said: ‘We’ve got to make sure we play well up front on both sides of the ball.

‘Defense has been doing a great job and they’ll need to do that again. This is a very good offense and our own offense is going to have to produce. It’s going to be one hell of a competition.’

Asked what his final words to his Chiefs team will be, Reid replied: ‘Just be yourselves and go play.’

49ers star Kyle Juszczyk has rolled up wearing a custom-made jacket incorporating the names of several teammates ahead of tonight’s game.

Anyone on the ground in Las Vegas hoping to score a last-minute ticket that’s not extortionately priced will be bitterly disappointed.

Taylor Swift is finally set to complete her long journey to the Super Bowl this afternoon after boarding a flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

Swift touched down in California on Saturday after wrapping up her final Eras Tour concert in Tokyo and making the 5,500-mile trip across the globe to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs player the 49ers.

The singer and songwriter likely chose to make a pit stop in LA, where she owns a property, as NFL rules prevented her from spending the night with Kelce on the eve of the big game.

And just hours before her man takes to the field at Allegiant Stadium, Swift was seen boarding her flight from Burbank, Los Angeles County, over to Vegas for the final leg of her long journey to the Super Bowl.

It seems as though the 49ers are arriving at different times with Fred Warner just shown on TV leaving the team hotel.

But the other is an exceptional player and will be a worry for the Chiefs defense tonight.

CBS reporters have just revealed on air that Patrick Mahomes was on the first Chiefs bus out of their hotel that’s heading to Allegiant Stadium.

The 49ers players are also on their way after coach Shanahan got there nice and early this afternoon.

Reports on the ground have suggested 49ers fans are seriously outnumbering their Chiefs rivals in the city, which makes sense geographically.

But complaints quickly surfaced about a quick scene of a man with a peanut allergy eating peanut butter.

As a result, Uber Eats has agreed to cut the roughly three-second scene, which occurs about 35 seconds into the 60-second commercial.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is known for his cerebal methods and intense preparation.

He’s arrived at Allegiant Stadium with just under five and a half hours to kickoff.
