Just weeks after the explosive end of Summer House Season 8 – which showed the deteriorating relationship between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard – it’s been revealed the exes will both be back for Season 9.
Production on Season 9 will kick off over the 4th of July holiday weekend in Water Mill, New York, with Variety confirming both Radke, 39, and Hubbard, 37, returning.
Both Radke and Hubbard are two of only three cast members to be a main cast member all nine seasons, along with Kyle Cooke, with the failed engagement not stopping that streak from continuing.
They first started dating in early 2022, with Radke proposing on camera during the show’s seventh season later that year.
They were set to tie the knot in Mexico this past November, though it was reported extensively last August that the pair had split, and that the break-up was filmed during production on Season 8.

The couple’s constant bickering was caught on camera, as Hubbard even questioned whether Radke was sober anymore – after he quit drinking in 2021.
Carl called out Lindsay’s demeaning remarks towards him, adding that he thought she was ‘rooting’ for him to relapse and fall off the wagon.
Hubbard opened up about the relationship in a late May interview with Glamour where she said she felt like she dodged a, ‘massive bullet.’
‘I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead. And because of that, I learned a lot from a very traumatic experience, and I feel like I learned a lot about what I’m not going to do in my future, especially in my romantic life,’ she said.

Carl Radke regrets how he treated Lindsay Hubbard on Summer House
She even admitted that she wasn’t ‘nervous’ about filming with Carl, adding, ‘It’s almost a year ago that we broke up, and I did a lot of healing. I’m still healing in different ways, of course, but I’m just so happy to not be in that.’
She added she would be on Summer House, ‘until I was 100,’ adding, ‘Despite all of the challenges that my ex and I had last summer, it was really, truly a fun summer.’
‘I had a blast with the girls, and it makes me excited for this upcoming summer, too, because I still have a great relationship with all of them and the new guys, West and Jesse. I think it was a really good dynamic all around with this cast,’ she said.
Radke admitted in a late May New York Times interview that he was, ‘not proud of how I was handling the situation and how I was treating her.’
‘I mean, I was clearly frustrated and, you know, so I wish I had really been more direct,’ he added.

Radke continued that during that exchange, viewers, ‘can clearly see [him] struggling to communicate [his] feelings.’
He said the fault falls on him even though viewers watched him point the finger at his ex-fiancée when they argued during season eight episodes.
‘That’s not on her,’ he said ahead of the reunion. ‘That’s on me.
‘I’m seeing myself blame and play victim, and I don’t want to be either,’ he continued.
During season eight episodes, viewers watched as a rift grow in their relationship before they announced they had called off their engagement in August 2023 — just two and a half months before their wedding.
