alert-–-strictly-viewers-left-fuming-as-they-all-say-thing-over-results-show-–-with-no-dance-off-as-a-result-of-nigel-harman’s-shock-exitAlert – Strictly viewers left FUMING as they all say thing over results show – with no dance off as a result of Nigel Harman’s shock exit

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left fuming at Sunday’s ‘pointless’ and ‘boring’ show after Nigel Harman’s exit resulted in no dance-off.

Actor Nigel, 50, had been taking part in the BBC Latin and ballroom competition alongside professional partner Katya Jones, 34, but pulled out of the series just hours before the live show on Saturday after trying to perform a stunt in rehearsals, which left him with a rib injury.

And the 40-minutes results show featured the usual dance off and musical performance, however the rest of the episode featured interviewers and video messages from celebs in a bid to fill the time.

Joss Stone sung while Billie Piper and Bear Grylls sent their best wishes, but viewers at home still left wanting more.

Someone else commented:’This week seems kind of pointless’.

And: ‘Apart from the pro dance and the musical guest this result show is pointless’.

Nigel’s last minute exit threw the show into chaos forcing the usual dance off and elimination to be scrapped.

Leaving hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly to explain to audiences how the series would deal with the fall out ahead of judging the latest performances.

Speaking during Saturday’s show Tess said how devastated they were to lose Nigel, before her co-host confirmed there would be no public vote or elimination.

Claudia explained: ‘The judges will still be scoring and those scores will be carried over. You’ll be able to vote as usual next week.’

Saturday saw Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin score full marks with 40 for their Pasa Doble to Backstage Romance from Moulin Rogue The Musical.

He said: ‘I was about to be caught by some very handsome men but when I landed, I’ve done something to my rib. I’m a little high on painkillers.’
