Strictly’s Luba Mushtuk became emotional in a social media clip alongside dance partner Adam Thomas, after they were eliminated from the show.
The Waterloo Road star, 35, and his pro partner Luba became the sixth couple to be eliminated from the show after losing out to Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington in the dance-off.
Adam took to Instagram on Tuesday with Luba to thank their fans for supporting them through out the competition.
He began by admitting: ‘Hi guys, it’s been a while. Sorry guys, I’ve not been very active on here. Just needed a day to reflect… truthfully I was hungover.
‘We just wanted to jump on here and say to everyone thank you. Thank you for your support, to everyone who picked up the phone and voted week on week. We would never have gotten to week 7 if it wasn’t for you guys, and this one as well actually.’

Turning to Luba he added: ‘I couldn’t have gotten to week 7 without you darling’ and Luba quipped: ‘No you couldn’t’.
Adam continued: ‘What a journey it’s been. But unfortunately our Strictly Come Dancing journey is over. But we had a blast.’
Luba then became visibly tearful, causing Adam to start laughing and say: ‘Don’t cry! It’s fine Luba. No not again!
‘Sorry guys she’s very emotional because she feels like she’s not going to see me again, but you’re going to be in my life forever! Don’t worry. I gotta go get her a tissue now.’
Captioning the clip, he wrote: ‘Thank you so much for all your messages and all the love shared!!! We couldn’t have got as far, as we did, with out you !!!
‘But that is it!! Hanging my dancing shoes up for a little while now, going to put my feet up and watch the show from home with the family!!
‘But will look back on this experience with a huge smile on my face ❤️ Love from me and this special one @lubamushtuk ❤️’.

Adam and Luba trailed at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday with their American Rumba to Dancing On My Own by Calum Scott, scoring 27 points out of 40.
Judge Anton Du Beke called the dance-off the ‘closest one’ so far this series, but ultimately all four judges chose to save Angela and Kai.
However, this decision has proven to be controversial, as fans fumed that the ‘wrong person’ went home after the fearsome showdown between the two couples.
Speaking on It Takes Two on Monday, Adam broke his silence after the surprise axe from the show, admitting he ‘knew he’d be in trouble’.
He said: ‘Ah, I mean the Rumba was definitely one of those dances that I wanted to do – probably not the best dance to do on the back of a dance-off!
‘But you know what, I enjoyed it. I thought we did a fantastic job. A really good job. So that being said we can leave with our head held high. ‘
Host Fleur East went on to ask about him about the dance off: ‘Was it tough?’
‘I mean,’ laughed Adam, ‘I knew going up against Angela we’d be in trouble. She’s amazing!

‘But look, if anyone was going to send us home, I’m happy that it was Angela. She’s amazing and I mean she was just so elegant. But yeah I’m really happy for her.’
But not everyone was in agreement, with one fan taking to Twitter, to say: ‘Only caught the dance off of this week’s #Strictly and it was clearly the wrong decision?’
Another echoed: ‘Sorry, wrong decision. Adam had a lot of potential to keep getting better, his scores have been consistently climbing.
‘Angela is great, especially considering her age, but she has a lot of experience, and realistically she won’t get any better than she is now. #strictly.’
