Stormzy has pleaded guilty to driving his £200,000 Lamborghini with illegally tinted windows.

The rapper, real name Michael Ebenezer Owuo Jr, 30, will also face trial next year after pleading not guilty to allegedly using his mobile phone while driving another one of his supercars.

It comes just days after the star split from Love Island presenter Maya Jama, who last night hosted a lavish bash to kick off her 30th birthday celebrations.

The award-winning musician skipped his court appearance at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

But, via his lawyer, the rapper pleaded guilty to driving his yellow four litre Lamborghini Urus with heavily tinted windows in Kingston-upon-Thames, near his £2.5million home, in October last year.

However, he pleaded not guilty to driving his grey £225,000 6.6 litre Rolls Royce Wraith in Addison Road, West Kensington on March 7, this year while using hand-held mobile phone.

The star is set to face trial next year but his lawyer has asked for permission to potentially change the October 16 date in order to fit his client’s busy schedule.

‘I do not have dates to avoid for my client given the nature of his job,’ said his lawyer Humzah Ilyas. ‘Mr Owuo is an international musician and if there is a tour or show it creates incredible difficulties for him.’

‘He has pleaded guilty on the windows and we will deal with that at the conclusion of the trial,’ announced bench Chairwoman Deborah Draksmith.

Prosecutor Alice Holloway told the court: ‘This defendant is not here today and there are two matters. One is driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition with excessively tinted windows.

‘He has pleaded guilty to that offence after initially pleading not guilty and the trial was listed for today.

‘There is also a mobile phone driving offence and that is a not guilty plea and today’s hearing is to fix a trial date.’

Considering Mr Ilyas’ request to change the trial date, Ms Draksmith said: ‘The bench are happy to grant that application, but you must inform your client that should he not turn up on the day of the trial it will go ahead in his absence.’

The court case comes at a turbulent time for the rapper who recently broke up with Maya earlier this year.

The ITV2 star and the BRIT Award winner announced they had ‘recently decided to call it quits’ with a joint Instagram statement.

Sources told the couple conflicted over their lifestyles, with Stormzy more of a homebody.

Maya is set to celebrate her birthday on August 14 but has already got the party started as she revealed her latest collaboration with Gordon’s Gin.

The TV star took to Instagram last night to share a snap of herself posed up in front of a set of two pink ’30’ helium balloons.

She looked radiant in the thigh-skimming dress, which she styled with gold jewellery and wore her glossy brunette locks loose.

On Wednesday, Gordon’s announced a new campaign to celebrate Maya’s 30th, who are hosting a pop up salon in her honour.

Fans can have one of two Maya hair and make-up looks done and there’s also an at-home package on offer, all with a Gordon’s cocktail moment included.

Maya and Stormzy made separate appearances at Wimbledon last week, with the rapper attending evian’s Mountain of Youth VIP suite on Thursday solo.

They were last seen together holding hands on July 5 at the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, where Stormzy performed a headline set.

The couple also attended Glastonbury festival last month before Maya flew via helicopter to the ITV studios where she presents Love Island spin-off show Aftersun live on a Sunday evening.

In recent weeks, Stormzy has launched House Party, a bar he has co-founded in Soho, London, which has been transformed to feel and look like an old-school house party.

His success in the music industry as well as the business world has allowed Stormzy to amass a large collection of expensive motors.

Stormzy’s flash Lamborghini is estimated to cost between £190,000 to £230,000 but the vehicles can re-sell for as much as £260,000.

As well as his Lambo and Rolls Royce, the musician also owns a £110,000 Mercedes G550, known as a G-Wagon, which is regarded as one of the most expensive luxury SUVs on the market.

He also owns a black £77,980 Audi A8, which is the car manufacturer’s largest luxury sedan.
