Stacey Solomon was spotted smoking a cigarette with her morning coffee during a family day out in north London on Saturday.

The Sort Your Life Out star, 34, sneaked in a moment of silence and sparked up a cigarette while husband Joe Swash played with their youngest children.

While Stacey had a low-key smoke, Joe, 42, cradled daughters Rose, two, and Belle, one, in their pyjamas.

Stacey – who has previously opened up about her unhealthy smoking habit – looked a far cry from her glamorous self.

She flashed her toned legs in black biker shorts and a grey oversized hoodie, teamed with an oversized padded coat.

Stacey also shares son Rex, three, with Joe and also has two sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, with previous partners.

In 2012, Stacey, who at the time was pregnant with Leighton, broke down on This Morning as she revealed her guilt at continuing to smoke while pregnant.

Although she said she had cut down from her 10 a day, she has struggled to quit altogether.

She said on This Morning: ‘At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right. All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up.

‘I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it’s incomprehensible.

‘As soon as you get pregnant, you think you need so stop. I did smoke between 5 and 10 a day, but I completely cut down and from there on I have been trying to stop.

‘I’m smoking between one and three a day, if that… I just thought I would be able to quit. And some days I’ve done really, really well and had none but there are some days when I have had some.

‘I’m doing my best to just go without, but sometimes it’s not just as easy to cut it out.’

At the time, she found herself the subject of proclamations from medical experts calling her actions shameful and harmful despite her own doctor explaining that she was dealing with stress so badly that to give up smoking would put her baby in even more danger than cigarettes.

Stacey recently admitted she is struggling to find the ‘right work/family balance’ as she weighed in on a controversial mum debate last week.

Lily Allen, 38, sparked a controversial debate after she claimed women have to choose between a career or motherhood because ‘you can’t have it all’.

And having her say, the mother-of-five detailed her day-to-day difficulty of cramming her work in to ensure she spends enough time with her children.

Taking to Instagram, Stacey spoke candidly on the subject and disclosed that she ‘sometimes has days where she questions everything’.

She wrote: ‘I had a crazy day yesterday. Meeting with the Sylo team and BBC, then went to Primark head office for A/W sign offs, then a shoot for Bricking It.

‘I got home about 9pm yesterday and went straight to bed. Trying so hard to do all of my away from home jobs on one day so I can work from home as much as possible and be around for school runs and dinner.

‘Trying to get the work/family balance right but I don’t know if it’s working. Do you ever have those days where you just question everything?’

She added: ‘Anyway onwards we go. First up product development meeting from home with REHAB. Then a research interview for Would I Lie To You and then it’s parents evening.

‘Also the veg patch needs painting and todays the first day it’s not pissing it down so I’ll try and start that!’
