Skye Wheatley’s ‘plastic surgery addiction’ has reportedly cost her a lucrative TV presenting gig with Channel Nine.
The influencer, who recently returned from Turkey where she underwent a fox eye lift, liposuction, a temporal lift and a blepharoplasty, was left devastated this week when she was told over the phone the network would not employ her as the new Love Island host.
An industry source told Daily Mail that current host Sophie Monk is moving to another show and Nine had considered Wheatley as a replacement.
‘There was an idea to add Sophie Monk into the new format of The Floor. The idea was floated that Skye could slip in and take over Love Island moving forward,’ they said.
‘Executives believed Skye could do a very similar job to Sophie.’
However, they added that Nine decided to not work with Skye after they noticed how she had drastically changed her appearance through cosmetic surgery.
‘This whole idea came crashing down as the network had noticed the winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! had drastically changed her look. Which turned Nine off the idea to cast her.’

Skye recently went to Turkey to visit a renowned cosmetic surgeon, who performed an eye surgery known as a fox eye lift on her.
Skye revealed on social media that in addition to the fox eye lift, she also got liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift and a blepharoplasty.
‘The problem with changing your appearance and even your hair colour is that your brand is often wrapped up in a look you are famous for,’ the source added.
‘I don’t think Nine was unconfident with her ability to host the show. I think it was just “the look” they were hiring her for that has changed.’

Skye was seen in public for the first time on Thursday after having her fox eye lift surgery.
Bizarrely, she posed up a storm for a series of car selfies during an outing on the Gold Coast with her son, Forest, five.
She was photographed sitting in the back of her car, her face partially covered with skin-coloured bandages.
Despite her appearance, Skye took the time to capture numerous photos of her bruised face with her phone.
The influencer also revealed bruises around the top of her thighs in a pair of tiny shorts after also getting her liposuction during the cosmetic surgery holiday.

The sighting came just days after Skye responded to allegations she has a ‘plastic surgery addiction’ and also defended sharing the details of her procedures online.
In a social media post, Skye’s face was still covered entirely with tape after she underwent several cosmetic procedures.
‘I can’t show my face yet it’s way too scary, but when I heal more I will show the process don’t worry,’ she told her followers last Thursday.
When pushed by her fans to film her face, she said ‘Nah, it’s horrific.’
The fox eye lift is touted as a ‘minimally invasive’ procedure that uses dissolvable threads to lift the eyebrow and elongate the outer eye area into an almond-shape.
For years, people have been achieving the look using clever eyeliner, shadow makeup techniques and various tweezing methods to create a visual sweep upward to the corner of the eye.
‘I’m trusting the process,’ Skye said of her recovery.

The photos Skye shared on Monday show her face does indeed look ‘scary’ after the trendy procedure, which has been popularised by accessibility of first-hand reviews and celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Ariana Grande.
In addition to the fox eye lift and liposuction, Skye also admitted she underwent a complementary temporal lift (fat transfer into the face to prevent the need for injectable dermal fillers) and a blepharoplasty (an eyelid surgery) last week.
On Monday, she shared photos of additional massage treatments for lymphatic drainage and ‘neck hydration’.
