Sky have confirmed that an employee has died after ‘falling from a great height’ at their studio headquarters in west London.

The unknown individual fell from one of the buildings at the sprawling complex on Grant Way in Osterley early on Monday morning.

Emergency services deployed rapid response paramedics but the person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the tragedy, the Sky team issued a Siren alert to all employees asking them to work from home if possible, as the multistory carpark 2 and the Harlequin Avenue entrance would be shut due to ‘an incident being investigated’.

A source told that the campus was ‘swarming with police’ and forensic tents had been erected by the time people began filing into the office.

The Siren alert is the same one issued during terror attacks, and will automatically be sent to ‘hundreds of employees’.

A Sky spokesperson said this afternoon: ‘We are deeply saddened to confirm a Sky employee passed away at our Osterley campus on Monday morning.

‘Our thoughts and full support are with their family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.’

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 3.29am on Monday 18 November to reports of a person fallen from height at Grant Way, Isleworth.

‘We sent resources to the scene, including a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our tactical response unit.

‘Very sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.’

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Police were called at 03:33hrs on Monday, 18 November to reports of a man in his 40s who had fallen from height in Harlequin Avenue, Hounslow.
