The Sun revealed details from the police report in a report on Thursday as an officer wrote: ‘Addison stated that he has had conversations with [Garrison] about him being depressed lately.
‘He stated that [Garrison] is an alcoholic and drinks every night.’
Addison claims to have spoken to the reality star the night before his suicide and that he had appeared ‘intoxicated’ and though they had spent plenty of time together the roommate said that nothing Garrison ever said was a ‘red flag.’
There allegedly was more going on than just substance abuse according to the police report.
It read that Addison ‘stated that he knew that [Garrison] was having problems with his ex-girlfriend and that he was not a very happy person.’
Garrison’s other roommate Cheyenne corroborated Addison’s story regarding the struggles as she did not know him very well but had been talking more recently.
The police report read: ‘She stated that she talked a little more in-depth with him about how he was struggling with drinking and his depression surrounding that.’
Sister Wives star Garrison Brown struggled with depression and addiction and is claimed to have had problems with an ex-girlfriend ahead of his tragic death by suicide at age 25 according his roommates a police report obtained by The Sun revealed on Thursday
This comes after it was revealed that Garrison reportedly sent ‘troubling’ messages ahead of his tragic death by suicide at age 25
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, law enforcement spoke with his mother, Janelle Brown, who revealed he sent ‘ominous’ final texts to ‘some people the day prior’ to his passing
The outlet reported that Janelle told police that ‘Garrison had texted a group of people that the Brown family works with [presumably from their show]’
This comes amid a previous report that Brown had reportedly sent ‘troubling’ text messages.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, law enforcement spoke with his mother, Janelle, who revealed he sent ‘ominous’ final texts to ‘some people the day prior’ to his passing.
The outlet reported that Janelle told police that ‘Garrison had texted a group of people that the Brown family works with [presumably from their show].’
One message that he allegedly wrote read: ‘I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can’t. I miss these days.’
While Janelle did not seemingly receive any of these texts, when word got back to her about them, she ‘texted Garrison’ directly.
They proceeded to have a ‘brief conversation for a few minutes before he stopped responding.’
She, then, reached out to her other children to ‘see who could go check on Garrison.’
Garrison’s younger brother Gabriel, 22, volunteered and was, unfortunately, the one to find Garrison dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Tuesday.
TMZ also revealed that ‘some’ of Garrison’s three roommates ‘heard a pop on Monday night… but didn’t think it was a gunshot’ and ‘none of them’ checked on ‘Garrison to see what happened.’
When Gabriel discovered his brother’s body and called 911, ‘that’s when the roommates say they realized’ Garrison was dead.

In her own Instagram tribute, Janelle said of her late son: ‘He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him’
The outlet noted that the ‘roommates say Garrison was known in the household to struggle with alcohol.’
Gabriel, however, was completely unaware that his sibling was struggling as Garrison seemed to be ‘doing okay on his own’ after getting a new job at a medical facility.
Janelle also informed the police that Garrison was estranged from his father, Kody.
Back in February 2022, Kody said during an episode of Sister Wives that he and Garrison and his other son Gabe were ‘not good’ and ‘not talking’ as they clashed with him over what they felt to be onerous protocols he implemented amid the coronavirus pandemic.
‘It’s changed everything for everybody, and they want it all to be the same – they need to realize that they should go and date that girlfriend, that’s fine, but you need to move out of the house so I can be home,’ he said.
In an episode of the TLC series chronicling the tension in the family, according to People, Janelle said in a confessional interview that she felt Garrison ‘just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be’ amid the family strife over pandemic precautions.
‘I have worried about my boys’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything,’ she said.
Amid the clash in philosophies over the pandemic, Garrison moved out from his parents home and eventually settled in Arizona in 2021.
Kody talked about the issues with his sons in a May 2023 episode of the series, saying he was upset with the situation.
‘I haven’t been in touch with Gabriel and Garrison for quite a while,’ Kody said. ‘I’m pretty sad that I’m not close [to them] anymore.’
He added that ‘there was just so many things in our lives that we did that were rich together, you know, just special experiences’.
Kody said that he thought and hoped that they could ‘get over this’ in time.

Kody first married Meri in 1990, then added a spiritual union with Janelle, then Christine and the Robyn.

Meri and Kody split for good in January 2023.
In December 2022, Meri revealed that it was Kody who ‘made the decision’ to end their 32-year ‘spiritual marriage.’
