The incident was reported out of the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society at around 3:40 p.m. local time, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
A member of the temple said that a car on the property caught fire before spreading to a propane cylinder near the building, according to KCRA 3.
Fire officials later confirmed that propane tanks were likely responsible for the explosions.
