A teenager has been charged after wild vision emerged of a schoolgirl being repeatedly punched in the head in the fresh fruit aisle at Coles.
Staff members were forced to break up the fight inside the supermarket in Carindale Westfield, in Brisbane’s south-east, on March 11.
In the video, a 14-year-old girl is seen marching into Coles and allegedly striking a 15-year-old girl in her school uniform multiple times with a closed fist.
Another girl, who has a school bag hanging off one shoulder, is seen trying to stop the teenager’s alleged attacker.
Police charged the 14-year-old girl with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and in company on March 17.
It is alleged the 15-year-old girl was punched by the 14-year-old while other teenagers recorded the fight inside the supermarket.
One witness told The Courier Mail the girl who was allegedly attacked was on her own before the group ambushed her.
The 14-year-old will appear before the Brisbane Childrens Court on Friday, May 9.
