This is the moment a mum had her daughter’s dawn sawn off after she refused to keep it unlocked.
The mum made the move after the teen locked herself in her room with her boyfriend.
A clip shows the moment the woman summons her brother to remove parts of the door with a power saw while the teenagers are in the daughter’s room.
The footage, shared by the @itsgoneviral TikTok account, has since amassed over 48,000 views and over 200 comments from divided followers.
In a controversial move dividing the internet, a concerned mother, from the UK, took drastic action by enlisting the help of her brother to saw off her teenage daughter’s bedroom door
The decision came after the daughter locked herself in her room with her boyfriend during his visit, prompting concerns about the teenager’s safety and privacy
In the video, the mother records herself explaining the unfolding situation, saying: ‘So, my daughter’s asked me if she can have her boyfriend round. I said yeah – but there’s rules.
‘You keep the door open and it never gets locked! She’s just come in now, with her boyfriend, and the doors are locked.’
Uncertain about what was transpiring behind closed doors, the mother sought assistance from her brother, who she had summoned round to her residence, to remove parts of the door entirely.
Slashing a square shape into the door, the teenager’s uncle pokes the piece of wood through – revealing a large open window into the room.
The teenager can be heard yelling at her relatives behind the door, shouting, ‘Leave it alone,’ as the uncle jokingly screams the notable Jack Nicholson ‘The Shining’ phrase: ‘Here’s Johnny!’
The uncle, poking his head through the door, lectured the teenage girl, saying: ‘Told you not to lock your door when you have your boyfriend round, didn’t we?’
Turning his attention to the boyfriend, he said: ‘Don’t be touching my niece, you little s***. I’ll tell you once, I’ll tell you twice.’
Walking away from the room laughing, the uncle said to the mother, ‘Got her there didn’t we,’ before she responds, ‘We did!’

Although some people applauded the duo’s actions, many argued that removing the door was an extreme measure that could damage the trust between the mother and daughter, potentially leading to long-term consequences.
One person agreed with the mother and uncle’s decision, saying: ‘A door is cheaper than a baby so yes.’
Another wrote, ‘The world needs more Moms with brothers,’ while a third said, ‘Their house, their rules!’
However, some were left appalled by the duo’s actions, with one person mockingly writing: ‘Why doesn’t my daughter speak to me anymore?’
Another said: ‘I’ve said it once I said it again this is abuse. You’ll wonder one day why your children don’t visit you’ while a third commented: ‘Very clever… then they do it secretly somewhere in the car…’
A final individual wrote: ‘As a mam to two adult girls, this sounds like a great idea until she does it secretly elsewhere! Keep your kids close, don’t push them to secrecy.’
