The sister of Warren Beatty also shared she is grateful that she ‘can keep working’ and has her health and friends.

The Oscar-winner credited dancing for her longevity.

‘I started my dance training at age three and stopped at about 67. It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people and dealing with pain,’ she said.

She made her film debut in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Trouble With Harry in 1955, when she was 21. That same year, she appeared alongside Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in Artists and Models.

Her career has spanned eight decades. In recent years, she has appeared on the big and small screens, with a starring role in the black comedy American Dreamer and a two-episode guest appearance on The Only Murders In The Building.

She also appeared in A Family Affair, which is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year, not to be confused with a similarly titled UK film.

The newly-minted nonagenarian is scheduled to film a new movie in Atlantic City titled People Not Places.

‘It’s a wonderful script and we are getting ready to start and will see what happens,’ she said.

As the book’s title suggests, it was inspired by a wall. In this case, located in the actress’ home in Malibu and decorated with photos.

‘About 45 years ago, I put ten or so framed photographs of friends and family and people I’ve worked with all grouped together on a living room wall.

‘Everyone who came over loved to look at this montage, and so The Wall of Life was born. I’m pleased to share a selection of these photos — and some of the stories behind them — in this book,’ MacLaine said.

The Steel Magnolias star is no stranger to books; in 1983, she released a memoir titled Out On a Limb, which became a New York Times bestseller.

According to the People article, her next book covers her childhood with brother and fellow actor Warren Beatty, her days on Broadway, her career on the silver screen, motherhood, and crossing the paths of people like Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, and the Dalai Lama.
