Sharon Osbourne was forced to cancel an upcoming public appearance at Mad Monster Party in Phoenix due to her husband Ozzy ‘not being able to fly’.

The 71-year-old TV personality was due to attend the convention in the United States with their children Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne in July.

But Sharon has now shared she and Ozzy, 75, will not be able to attend and apologised to fans for the short notice.

In a video shared on Instagram on Thursday, Sharon thanked fans for their ‘constant support with Ozzy’.

She said: ‘Regretfully the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time. However Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes.

‘Everybody who bought the Osbourne package will of course get full refunds. We would like to thank you all for your constant support with Ozzy. It means so much to him, you have no idea.

‘All I can do is apologise that we won’t be there and I’m apologising to the people we’ve let down from my heart. So god bless you all. Thank you so much.’

A synopsis for the event teases: ‘It’s a horror, sci-fi, and fantasy themed convention that brings the world’s top genre celebrities and exhibitors together with their fans to trade stories, attend informative panels, buy autographs, and fun merchandise, and visit with old friends – and meet new like minded monsters.’

In January, Sharon revealed Ozzy will be performing two final concerts in Birmingham before he packs it up for good.

Ozzy was forced to pull out of future live gigs last year after he required surgery after a fall, amid his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Speaking on her Cut The Crap tour in London, Sharon confirmed Ozzy’s return to the stage.

She said: ‘He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like “I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly”.’

She added: ‘We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from. His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke yeah.

‘He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy, he just draws you in.’

In January 2020, the star, who is also known as the Prince of Darkness, revealed that he has Parkinson’s in an emotional interview with his wife Sharon.

The then-71-year-old sat down with Good Morning America to reveal he could no longer hide his health struggles and that he is on a ‘whole host’ of medications to treat his nerve pain.

It began, he said, when he suffered a fall in 2019 and had to undergo surgery for it. After that, he started experiencing nerve pain and doctors have had a hard time pinpointing whether the fall, the surgery, or his condition are to blame for his condition.

Insisting he was ‘far from’ his deathbed – as had been misreported – he said he wanted to ‘own up’ to his condition for the sake of his fans.

‘It has been terribly challenging for us,’ he said of the last year. ‘I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves. I found out that I have a mild form of….’ he said before looking to his wife to finish his sentence.

Sharon added, ‘It’s Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.’

In June 2022, Ozzy underwent a spinal surgery with Sharon giving an update to fans shortly afterwards.

‘Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him,’ the TV personality concluded.

Later that same year, the Crazy Train singer jumped to the stage to perform during an NFL performance in September 2022.
