Carolyn Murphy has posted a new selfie to Instagram that doesn’t look like the supermodel we know from the 1990s.
With little makeup on and her hair pulled back while holding a flower, the 50-year-old was almost unrecognizable.
The caption for this photo and several others read: ‘Inspiration and painted musings. The earliest flowers, and flowering plants, are believed to have originated in the early Cretaceous period, roughly 130-140 million years ago!’
Murphy was a top model of the 1990s as she worked for Calvin Klein, posed for Vogue and hung out with Cindy Crawford.
The looker often posed topless as she did for the DKNY Spring 1996 Ready to Wear Runway Show in 1995 in New York City. She also sizzled in Estee Lauder makeup ads.

Carolyn Murphy, an Estee Lauder model, was a big star in the 1990s. On Friday she posted an image that didn’t quite look like her

With little makeup on and her hair pulled back while holding a flower, she was still gorgeous, but almost unrecognizable
When chatting up Marie Claire last year, she commented on her looks.
‘The catch all about getting older, and much of one’s perspective on life in general, is a lot of it is in the mind!’ wrote the pal of Kate Moss in an Instagram caption as she shared a photo of the glamorous cover.
She added, ‘We are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.’
Murphy then focused on 50: ‘I turned 50 this past summer and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more excited about this next phase of my life.’
Jennifer Aniston, Charisma Carpenter and Brooklyn Decker liked the post.
She continued: ‘People ask me “what’s your secret” to aging and my answer is never linear and we all know that what works for one, might not work for another.’
The star then admitted that she has her own tricks in her beauty bag.
‘Yes I have access to the best potions and health hacks but it’s so much more than that,’ said the Vogue model.

She did not name her ‘potions’ but the Estee Lauder model has said in the past she uses Cetaphil and the Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion.
She also told Vogue in 2017 that she loves bone broth, eats a ton of vegetables and also has healthy snacks like almond butter.
And she is an avid surfer.
Turns out she goes out of her way to make herself happy, too.
‘I will say that the obvious answers aside, taking care of my mental and emotional state has always been a priority,’ admitted Carolyn.

And she still gets plenty of work today as she maintains her youthful looks with hard work

She then admitted that she has her own tricks in her beauty bag: ‘Yes I have access to the best potions and health hacks but it’s so much more than that’
‘I commit to following my intuition in decision making (which gets better as you age) and I make time feed my soul (sometimes to peoples dismay because I’m not always out there and available),’ she shared.
‘I’ve followed, committed to and shared in the path of wellness for 3 decades,’ added the Los Angeles resident who lost her house in the fires in January.
‘That’s not without some fallbacks and challenges of course, the past two years being the most intense (more on that another time).

‘This shoot and feature story in particular for Marie Claire was commemorating in all of the above,’ she said of her new magazine cover.
‘Nothing makes me more happy than doing what I love and talking about what I love (with the added bonus in doing it with friends I love).
‘Thank you to the entire team and intention behind this one,’ she ended her note.
She got her start in the 1990s.
In 1998, Murphy was named VH1/Vogue’s Model of the Year.
And she tried out acting too: She played Dubbie in Barry Levinson’s film Liberty Heights.

She was one of the ‘Modern Muses’ on the November 1999 millennium cover of American Vogue.
And she was the star of Calvin Klein perfume’s ads for Contradiction.
The looker found more fame when she was featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2005 and 2006.
Murphy has shot campaigns for Missoni, Versace and Tiffany & Co.
In July 2012, Murphy was hired to replace Angela Lindvall as host of Project Runway All Stars on Lifetime, after Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dropped out for a film project.
The 5ft9in Florida native was wed to Jake Schroeder from 1999 until 2002. Together they have child Dylan Blue.
