alert-–-scarlett-johansson-can’t-control-her-giggles-over-brutal-joker-2-joke-at-oscarsAlert – Scarlett Johansson can’t control her giggles over brutal Joker 2 joke at Oscars

Scarlett Johansson could not control her giggles upon hearing a brutal joke about Joker: Folie à Deux during the 97th Academy Awards, which aired Sunday on ABC.

It happened after the Los Angeles Fire Department hit the Dolby Theatre stage in Hollywood for a standing ovation for their brave efforts during last month’s wildfire disaster.

Oscar host Conan O’Brien then enlisted LAFD Captain II Erik Scott to tell the following joke: ‘Our hearts go out to all of those who have lost their homes. And I’m talking about the producers of Joker 2.’

At that, the camera cut to the 40-year-old former child star, who shared a hearty laugh with her CAA agent Joe Machota seated by her side.

Todd Phillips’ $200M-budget jukebox musical sequel barely broke even at the box office with $207.5M, and it scored a dismal 31% critic/audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Joker 2 won two trophies – worst sequel and worst screen combo (Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix) – at the 45th Golden Raspberry Awards announced Saturday.

‘People just sometimes don’t like some things,’ Lady Gaga – who scored a $12M paycheck to play Harley ‘Lee’ Quinzel – admitted to ELLE last month.

‘It’s that simple. And I think to be an artist, you have to be willing for people to sometimes not like it. And you keep going even if something didn’t connect in the way that you intended.’

The 1981-set first film Joker made history in 2019 as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, amassing $1.079B at the global box office despite mixed reviews.
