Ryan Seacrest is looking forward to carrying out his annual hosting duties at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Tuesday night.
But the 50-year-old multihyphenate has one gripe about the forthcoming gig, which he will host alongside Rita Ora — he can’t eat until 1:30am.
The veteran media personality shared with TMZ that after the ball drops in Times Square, he’s usually ready for a meal.
‘The most challenging part is dinner is not until about 1:30am,’ he told the outlet after touching down in New York City ahead of showtime.
Seacrest noted about the city that has a reputation for keeping the party going, no matter the time of night: ‘They say a lot of places are open that late… there aren’t as many as you think.’
When the publication suggested Applebee’s as an option, he playfully replied, ‘Then I would like a pu pu platter.’

Asked how he prepares for New Year’s Eve, the show business icon joked, ‘I’ve been counting backwards since December 1st.’
He continued the spiel, ‘Counting backwards, you know, I walk backwards on the treadmill. I do everything in my life backwards so that I can get it right.’

Touching on his latest job as Pat Sajak’s replacement on Wheel of Fortune, he shared that he’s excited to celebrate the show’s 50-year milestone.
‘We’ll have the contestants on celebrating their milestones,’ he stated before advising fans to ‘check your local listings’ for broadcast details.
Seacrest was fashion-forward in a double-breasted, black and white peacoat with a stylish fur collar as he kept busy on Monday.
He added black trousers and black boots while also sporting a neat haircut and shaved face.
For her part, 34-year-old Rita turned heads in a red and black buffalo plaid patterned coat with faux fur black sleeves.
The British star wore a black turtleneck under her outer layer and rounded out the look with black leather boot.

Both co-hosts have been getting their respective social media audiences hyped for the upcoming bash.
On Sunday evening, Ryan uploaded a slew of snapshots of him and Rita in Times Square with the caption, ‘It’s good to be back @rockineve!’
And the singer engaged her 16 million followers as she posted selfies and videos with an enthusiastic note.
‘The countdown is on – tomorrow night me and @ryanseacrest will be in Times Square to welcome in 2025!’
She instructed, ‘Tune in at 8/7c on @ABC tomorrow to watch @RockinEve and head into the new year with us!! And watch me perform my medley of let you love me and praising you with a surprise at the end!!’
The beauty signed off with a string of festive emoji and added, ‘#RockinEve.’
Seacrest has hosted New Year’s Rockin’ Eve since 2005, while Ora hosted for the first time in 2023

Ora later posted a short video clip as she narrated, ‘Yes, yes. We are walking through Times Square. I am now officially a tourist!’
The star alerted fans, ‘I’m going to dance rehearsal so I can do a good performance on Rockin’ Eve and I can’t wait.’
Meanwhile, Ryan teased fans with new photos and noted, ‘Almost time to shine. Let’s get this countdown started!’
