Ryan Reynolds looked tense on Monday after dodging questions about his wife Blake Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The actor, 48, was seen leaving a studio in New York where he had filmed an appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert – his first TV interview since actress Blake filed her complaint against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin.
The drama exploded in December when Lively, 37, filed a complaint accusing Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassing her and waging a PR campaign to tar her reputation.
He retaliated with a $400 million defamation suit against Lively, her husband Ryan and the New York Times, which reported her initial complaint.
However, according to US Weekly, the Deadpool star failed to address the ongoing drama surrounding his wife and the director, and instead spoke to host Stephen, 61, about the upcoming fourth season of his show, Welcome to Wrexham.
Speaking of the programme, which follows the highs and lows of the Welsh football team he co-owns, Ryan said of attending games: ‘It’s mayhem.

‘It’s the ecstasy and joy that you can’t believe exists in this world right now that we live in. We live in a digital hate tank.’
He went on to praise ‘concerts and sports and movies and places where we gather together’ as places that encourage communities to come together.
Meanwhile, amid the ongoing backlash against wife Blake and himself amid her legal woes, Ryan attempted to somewhat win over fans thanks to an adorable segment with rescue puppies.
The ‘Rescue Dog Rescue’ sees host Stephen and a celebrity guest tell flattering and sometimes exaggerated stories about the pooches in order to encourage adoption.
And while Ryan happily spoke about his own projects and played with cute puppies, no mention was made of his wife’s troubles.
The film star looked a tad tense as he later left the studio, but ensured he happily greeted fans with a friendly wave as he made his way to his car.
While all parties deny the allegations against them, the escalating legal fracas has seen Blake’s name in particular dragged through the mud.
Fans thought her celebrity friends like Taylor Swift would jump to her defence, but the A-lister has had little support, at least publicly.
