Russell Brand told OnlyFans model Lily Phillips she was a ‘child of God’ and offered her his ‘service’ and ‘protection’ in a bizarre new interview.
The former actor and comedian, who is now living full time in the US, also creepily told the adult content creator that she ‘deserved to be cherished and treasured in every aspect of your life’.
Their conversation was broadcast on Brand’s Rumble channel and is his first public appearance since the BBC apologised to staff over the former presenter’s conduct during his time at the Corporation between 2006 and 2008.
His interviewee Lily, 23, has made more than £2million from her controversial and record breaking ‘sexcapades’ – which include having sex with 101 men in 24 hours.
The influencer, who was recently labelled as ‘bizarre’ by fellow adult content creator Bonnie Blue, was told by Brand that he ‘saw her differently’ since becoming a ‘man of God’.
Brand said he was interested in the ‘impact of sex’ on Lily’s ‘precious soul and spirit’, before quoting a Bible reference and asking her: ‘Did you not know that your body is a temple?’
He then offered ‘protection’ to the young woman, who faces being banned from AirBnB after filming her 100 man sex marathon during an overnight stay at a swanky London flat without telling the owner.
‘I suppose when I was younger and before I was married and had children, I suppose if I’d have heard of you, I would have been happy to see you as an object and not to investigate that a bit further,’ Brand said.
‘But as an adult man and, as a man of God, how I see you is a fellow child of God.
‘And part of me feels like, one day, if there is any way I can offer you some protection or service or counsel.’
Brand’s Hollywood career has moved towards politics and spirituality in the wake of the sex abuse claims made against him.
As well as his increasing interest in US politics, he was famously baptised in the River Thames alongside his friend Bear Grylls in late April. Brand said he saw this spiritual moment as ‘an opportunity to leave the past behind’ and ‘leave behind the sins’.
When the born again Christian asked Lily if there was any limit to her eyebrow raising exploits, she said: ‘There is no amount of money that would make me stop. I don’t feel like I am doing it for the money.
‘I maybe just obsessed with sex and really enjoy my job. I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing. I always said to myself I’ll stop when I stop enjoying it.’
During their strange chat, Lily also told Brand’s 6.8million Rumble followers that ‘sex can be special’.
The host went on to call the Derbyshire model a ‘child of God’ and added: ‘You are special and you are sacred. You deserve to be cherished and treasured in every aspect of your life.
‘I want you to know that there is a path for you and that you don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do.
‘And I know that you aren’t doing anything you don’t want to do, but if ever you find yourself in that position, know that there is a path and a light for you.’
Lily had been planning to break the world record for bedding the most men in a single day this year, but this plan was derailed when rival adult performer Blue claimed to have slept with 1,057 men in just 12 hours on January 11.
She is now in the United States and has taken an extended break from work, according to a well-placed source.
The content creator had previously been filmed breaking down in tears after she slept with 100 men as part of an online challenge last October.
Speaking to the makers of the YouTube documentary ‘I Slept With 100 Men in One Day,’ which has gone viral, she admitted feeling overwhelmed afterwards.
But Lily, who was raised in a small village in Derbyshire, later claimed her comments had been taken out of context, adding she was determined to go ahead with the challenge to sleep with 1,000 men.
In a series of interviews, she insisted her parents supported her career and were proud of her for amassing a £2m fortune through her 36,000 OnlyFans subscribers.
Asked by Brand if she felt exploited, Lily said: ‘No not at all. Before OnlyFans the porn industry was really booming and that’s when girls like me had agents or pimps that would force them into having these jobs and doing the more extreme stuff.
‘Because we have OnlyFans, which is a great platform to explore your kinks without someone telling you what to do.’
Lily’s bitter feud with Bonnie escalated after the latter accused her fellow content creator of stealing her idea to bed 1,000 men.
The 25-year-old has now been accused of canceling a major press interview after the host had Lily on first.
According to internet personality Adam22, Bonnie blew off a scheduled appearance on his Plug Talk podcast because they had interviewed Lily before her.
‘Bonnie canceled multiple podcast appearances in LA because we had Lily on first. Who knew gangbang politics were so serious??’ he posted on X, formerly Twitter, last week.
Lily filmed her Plug Talk interview early last week and the episode was released on Tuesday through OnlyFans.
During the interview, she opened up about being threatened with deportation from the US and discussed her viral stunt of sleeping with 100 men in a single night.
She also appeared to take a few swipes at Bonnie after Bonnie beat her to the world sex record by bedding 1,057 men in 12 hours.
When asked about her own plans to bed 1,000 men, Lily said, ‘I want to work up to it. I’ve got a 300-guy gangb*** on March 2.’
She continued, ‘Because what’s the point in just going straight to the thousand? Then you’re not going to profit off of if you do 300, then 500, then a 1,000. It just makes a little more sense.’
Brand is married to Bernard Gallagher’s daughter Laura. The couple have two young children, Mabel and Peggy.
revealed in November that Russell tweeted cryptically about ‘forgiveness’ just hours after it emerged detectives investigating historical sex offence allegations against him had passed a file of evidence to British prosecutors.
The 49-year-old vehemently denies any wrongdoing and insists that while he was ‘very, very promiscuous’ as a younger man, his sexual relationships ‘were always consensual’.
