The rift between one-time eastern suburbs ‘It couple’ Jono Castano and Simone Holtznagel has taken an unexpected turn.
Castano – a celebrity personal trainer whose clients include Candice Warner and Rebel Wilson – confirmed his split from model Simone on Tuesday, telling Daily Mail they had parted ways nine weeks ago.
But in the days since the announcement, the 33-year-old owner of Sydney’s trendy Acero gym has now been hit with claims he’s feuding with Simone’s sister Madeline.
Madeline, 27, also a model, is perhaps best known as the much younger girlfriend of n hospitality tsar Justin Hemmes.
Daily Mail understands Castano’s rift with Madeline stems from before he ended things with Simone, 31, and was sparked by a ‘disrespectful’ argument.
A source with knowledge of the feud says Castano and Madeline now ‘want nothing to do with one another’.
While Castano and Madeline still follow each other on Instagram, they do not generally like each other’s posts or interact on the social media platform.
The Holtznagel sisters have both remained notably silent on Instagram in the days since Castano confirmed his shock split from Simone.
Daily Mail has contacted Castano and Madeline for comment.
Jono Castano has been hit by bombshell claims that he is ‘feuding’ with his ex-girlfriend Simone Holtznagel ‘s sister Madeline
It has been claimed they refuse to have anything to do with one another after a ‘disrespectful’ blow-up saw Madeline (pictured on Thursday) no longer allowed in Jono and Simone’s house
Despite the alleged estrangement, Simone remains on good terms with her sister Madeline and the siblings are frequently seen spending time together.
Just last month, Simone posted a gallery of sweet photographs of herself out for lunch with Madeline and their other sister Anna.
Simone beamed from ear-to-ear as she cradled her and Jono’s baby girl Gia in her arms, while Madeline sat across the table doting on Anna’s daughter Rosie.
The lunch came just days after Simone’s split from her partner Jono, with Madeline and Anna seemingly rallying around to support her at the lunchtime gathering.
Earlier this week, Jono officially confirmed the shock news that he and Simone had gone their separate ways, just weeks after welcoming their first child together.
The fitness fanatic explained that he and Simone had decided to part ways nine weeks ago, around the end of May.
Jono exclusively told Daily Mail of the split: ‘We just decided it was best for her to spend time with her family in Wollongong.
‘Who knows what the future holds our idea is just to be the best parents for Gia at this stage.’
Simone is currently staying with her family in Wollongong, while Jono remains in Sydney running his gym Acero, which he co-founded with his ex-wife Amy.
The couple’s separation came around nine weeks after they welcomed their first child into the world on Easter Sunday.
Amid the bombshell claims, Madeline was spotted looking downcast as she left Body By Berner on Thursday, decked out in stylish gym gear after her workout

Simone and Jono are believed to still be on amicable terms and are focusing on co-parenting their daughter Gia.
However, Simone has not yet commented on the split or posted on social media since the shock news emerged publicly.
She has not shared any content on her Grid or her Stories as she continues to maintain a silence in the wake of the separation.

Simone Holtznagel and Jono Castano split just weeks after she gives birth to their baby
Just hours after confirming their split, Jono tagged Simone in a post of their baby daughter Gia, three months, but she did not re-share the post.
He penned: ‘Our little g @simoneholtznagel [love heart hands emoji],’ but his model ex-girlfriend did not respond publicly to the post.
News of their split came hours after Simone posted a cryptic quote about ‘moving forward’ and being ‘patient’ for a ‘long time’ on her Instagram Stories.
On Monday night, Simone posted a thinly-veiled message about prioritising her own happiness to Instagram in what appeared to be a reference to their separation.
The quote read: ‘You shouldn’t feel guilty for moving forward if you’ve given someone multiple opportunities to improve or change, but they didn’t.
‘Everyone has limits, and it’s important to look out for your own well-being. If you tried to help or waited for them to change their behaviour, but things stayed the same, it’s okay to choose what’s best for you and move on.
‘Prioritising your own happiness and peace is essential, especially when you’ve been patient and understanding for a long time.’

Simone last shared an Instagram post featuring Jono on April 28, where she gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at their first family photoshoot with baby Gia.
Despite separating nine weeks ago, Simone and Jono recently returned from a trip to Tasmania with Jono’s ex-wife Amy and her new partner Aaron Evans.
Earlier this month, the exes proved they are still on good terms as they jetted off on the intimate family getaway, taking baby Gia on her first ever flight.
Amy shared several photos and videos from their stay at the luxury Leighton House in rural Tasmania, which costs $1,600 for a minimum two-night stay.
In the posts, Simone and Jono were seen doting over Gia and cooking together in the kitchen as they enjoyed some quality time with Amy and Aaron.
The couple first started dating back in 2022, months after Jono confirmed his split from his longtime partner Amy.
Celebrity personal trainers Jono and Amy were high school sweethearts, but divorced in 2021 after 15 years together.
Simone confirmed she and Jono were expecting their first child together in October last year, and welcomed Gia into the world on Easter Sunday, March 31.

‘Kids have always been in our plan. We started talking about it more and more and then it just happened,’ she told Who magazine after falling pregnant with Gia.
