The Hollywood legend, 46, opened up in an insightful interview while posing in a striking photoshoot for NET-A-PORTER’s digital title, PORTER.
The Saltburn actress got candid about overcoming self-judgment, the power of storytelling and even her romantic side as she graced the latest cover issue.
Rosamund – who played iconic personalities as physicist Marie Curie and journalist Marie Colvin – detailed the often ‘traumatic’ process of playing real life character.
‘I’ve played a lot of real people, and that can be traumatic – going deep into someone’s soul to try and portray them honestly and live their life more than your own,’ she said.

Flaunting an array of impressive biopic roles throughout the years, the English star said about balancing a hectic schedule: ‘I’m longing for time to be idle at the moment.’
Yet, the Golden Globe winner admitted she is keen to shift into comedy, adding: ‘I’m so romantic.
‘I’m excitable, and I love to laugh, but I convince in the dramatic, serious roles. People don’t see the girlishness in me.’
For the stunning shooting, Rosamund slipped into a stylish black leather blazer jacket with matching pointy heel boots.
In another jaw-dropping shot, the Jack Reacher star gives a sultry look to the lens while sporting a chic cream top and white ballerina shoes.
Elsewhere she donned a black blazer teamed with a pleated cream skirt, before changing into a very elegant black dress, which featured a neck scarf embellishment.
The interview comes after Rosamund’s 12-year-old son Solo Uniacke went viral in China after winning the global championship at a Mandarin-language competition.

On October 28, Solo was named the winner of the Chinese Bridge contest for primary school students, held in northern China’s Tianjin municipality.
The pre-teen, whose Chinese name is You Zijun, started learning the language when he was just three and has since grasped 400 Chinese characters.
While there are more than 50,000 Mandarin characters, the average person only needs to know about 2,500.
According to South China Morning Post, Solo said after his victory in the government-run contest that he would continue learning the language until people regard him as ‘the first Chinese with blonde hair.’
Solo’s Mandarin skills have left many people on social media impressed.
Rosamund shares two sons, Solo and Atom, 10, with her partner of 15 years, Robie Uniacke.
