Longtime Republican operative and former Donald Trump advisor Roger Stone was caught in a secret recording of how he’d challenge election results if Trump loses again in 2024.

Stone, who has worked in GOP politics dating back to the 1970s and his support of Richard Nixon, spent time in prison in connection with Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation.

He was convicted on charges of witness tampering, obstructing an official proceeding, and five counts of making false statements before Trump commuted his sentence.

Now, a liberal journalist appears to have caught Stone talking about what he’s got up his sleeve for 2024.

Stone says it will be ‘easier to stop’ a supposed steal of the next election in some states and that he’ll use ‘lawyers, judges, technology’ to do it.

He even said that the campaign has Republican governors on board who will help them, though he noted it was ‘not many.’

Stone added that Trump will be on the offensive to try and get their way this November.

‘At least this time when they do it, you have a lawyer and a judge, his home phone number standing by so you can stop it,’ he said, referring to those who certify elections.

Stone was speaking two reporters for the outlet The Undercurrent, who went undercover as Trump supports at a March 19 event called ‘Catholics’ Prayer for Trump.’

The longtime lobbyist said they were unprepared for the loss in 2020, saying ‘we made no preparations last time, none.’

He also endorsed the Capitol riot after one reporter said she’d been there but added that they have plans in place to potentially prevent that from having to happen again.

‘That may not be necessary. There are technical, legal steps we have to take to try to have a more honest election,’ he said.

Stone said the campaign ‘should be suing in a half dozen places’ to help change election laws ahead of the vote.

‘We are beating them. [Trump’s] trial in Georgia is falling apart. I think the judge is on the verge of dismissing the charges against him in Florida. They’re delayed in New York City and they’re now delayed in Washington, he said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

‘All of the election integrity provisions that I suggested are perfectly legal and should be part of any ballot Security effort.’

Stone, who stayed devout to President Richard Nixon even after Watergate, had met Trump during the 1980 presidential campaign through Roy Cohn.

Cohn became known after his death as Trump’s right-hand man but was best known at the time for being Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s chief counsel during the anti-Communist hearings of the 1950s.

Stone was looking to build up support for Reagan in New York.

‘So, Roy set up a meeting for me with Donald,’ Stone recalled in an interview. ‘Donald said, “OK, give me the pitch,” and I told him why Reagan would win.’

That was enough to convince Trump to become a Reagan backer, providing the campaign staff with the use of his plane, office space and phones, the book said.

After Reagan’s election win, Stone convinced Trump to sign on as a client with his firm, which he remained for decades.
