Kelsey Lee Bateman, who once competed for Bret Michaels’ heart on Rock of Love, has reportedly passed away at age 39.
The Utah native’s relative told TMZ that she died ‘unexpectedly’ but did not provide how or when it occurred.
Kelsey was only 21 years old in 2009 when she appeared in the third and final season of the 62-year-old Poison frontman’s dating competition, Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels.
Bateman competed against 22 other ladies for Bret’s affection while aboard his tour bus.
In episode seven, the brunette beauty got way too ‘wasted’ with contestants Farrah Sinclair and Ashley Klarich.
‘I ended up laying on a speed bump balling my eyes out but you know what? I’m here and I’m ready for whatever Brett has to say to me,’ Kelsey said in the confessional.

‘But I mean, hey, I can’t be the only girl that’s got drunk and laid on a speed bump. Let’s be honest.’
Michaels (born Sychak) went on to gently tell Bateman that he wasn’t sure the road was the place to connect with her, and he didn’t think she could handle the lifestyle.

‘At some point I looked over during the concert and you were no longer there,’ the Pennsylvania-born rocker explained.
‘And at some point you were laying on a speed bump talking saying you couldn’t handle this any longer. I think tonight the fact that you are are needing to be who you are not, the fact you need to drink this much?
‘I think you’re awesome and a beautiful girl and I said sometimes I have to make decisions for people, and my decision for you is that I’m going to let your tour end here.’
Afterwards, the Salt Lake City resident admitted she could be ’emotional’ and ‘a mess.’
‘Sometimes I get drunk and lay on speed bumps it’s just you know,’ Kelsey shrugged.
‘Apparently Brett just can’t handle a girl that likes to get drunk and lay on speed bumps. I mean maybe he’s not used to it.
