Brittany Murphy’s sudden death at age 32 shocked the world back in 2009 and has continued to spark ongoing theories about what really happened to her.
According to the coroner’s report, pneumonia was listed as the late actress’ primary cause of death with iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication as contributing factors.
Now, 15 years after her passing sent shock waves through the entertainment industry, resurfaced footage of her has left fans convinced there were signs indicating she was in poor health.
While appearing on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in April 2009, eight months before her untimely demise, the Uptown Girls star’s behavior seemed a bit erratic.
‘Ever watch the late Brittany Murphy on Craig Ferguson?’ one Reddit user asked in a thread about worst late night interviews. ‘Murphy seemed to be on some substance and for some inexplicable reason spoke in a British accent.’
Others pointed out she ‘seems so different here’ and ‘dropped the accent a few times’ during her chat with Ferguson.

The interview began on a bizarre note as comedian Steven Wright pushed Murphy on a swing as Ferguson attempted to deliver his opening monologue.
‘You’re pushing too violently… I explicitly said do not push too violently, we can’t afford a new Brittany Murphy,’ Ferguson quipped.

While on the swing, Murphy laughed uncontrollably and seemed to have trouble focusing.
When asked if she drinks on Saint Patrick’s Day, Murphy told the host: ‘Nope, nope, no, look at me normally! I don’t need that. I don’t like the way it makes me feel. I like to stay grounded like this.’
‘This is grounded,’ he asked, which made her laugh.
Murphy died in the hospital on December 20, 2009 after collapsing in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills mansion after battling flu-like symptoms.
Five months later, Monjack, a virtually unknown British screenwriter, died in similar circumstances in the same house at age 40.
Murphy’s mother Sharon, who was living with the couple, was supposedly present both times.

Murphy and Monjack reportedly started dating in 2006 following her split from her fiancé Joe Macaluso, whom she met on the set of their 2004 film Little Black book.
Months before her death, she opened up about her relationship with Monjack in a 2009 interview with OK! magazine, saying she hoped to one day become a mom.
‘We met when I was 17 years old,’ she said. ‘We checked in with each other throughout the years and remained friends. The easiest decision I ever had in my life was getting married.’
Murphy began her career in 1991 and was notably featured in the Fox sitcom Drexell’s Class, which premiered that year.
She later moved on to film roles, famously playing Tai in the 1995 hit Clueless.
She also starred in a number of successful films, including Drop Dead Gorgeous, Cherry Falls, and 8 Mile.
