The parents of an autistic boy who vanished in Melbourne are breathing a sigh of relief after he was found safe and well.
A major search operation was underway for 10-year-old Asad after he vanished from Billungah Place in Burnside in the city’s west about 9.15pm Thursday night.
Police held concerns for his welfare due to his age and that he has non-verbal autism.
The police effort included a helicopter which had been searching a creek in the area from air.
Asad is about 160cm tall, and slim, with short, black hair.
He was last seen wearing a green zip-up hoodie, blue tracksuit pants, and leopard print shoes.
