Queens stabbing spree suspect, Jermain Rigueur, 27, has been charged with attempted murder after knifing five people over a two week period.
Rigueur reportedly works as a hospital greeter at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn.
‘Our investigators believe that each of these assaults were committed by the same person,’ said NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban.
Police say the first attack happened on January 8 against a 61-year-old man who was stabbed in the lower back on 137th Avenue near 157th Street as he walked to a laundromat.
Detective Joe Kenny claimed the suspect ‘laughed at the victim’s face’ after stabbing him.

The second attack came on January 16, when Rigueur allegedly stabbed a 34-year-old woman who was getting off a bus at Guy Brewer Boulevard and 134th Avenue on her way home from work at LaGuardia Airport.
The NYPD began a frantic search for the suspect after three other attacks at the same location on Wednesday morning.
One of the victims was a 74-year-old man who was taking his wife to work and alerted the owner of a nearby dry cleaner, who called 911.
Rigueur went on to stab two other people within one hour, per the NYPD.
Rigueur’s five alleged victims were wounded with a hunting knife, according to police. They are all expected to recover.
Police are also looking into whether Rigueur was involved in a sixth stabbing on a J train in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
The first stabbing victim, a 61-year-old grandfather, told The New York Post he initially thought the suspect had punched him – until he saw blood dripping down his pants.
‘After he stabbed me he passed, turned to look at me and smiled,’ said the man, who did not want to be identified.
Rigueur is expected to appear in court later on Thursday.
He was taken into custody in Springfield Gardens, just blocks Away from where several of the attacks happened.
Police say they found the hunting knife used in the attacks in the suspect’s home, as reported by ABC7.
