Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer claimed Prince Andrew could not have had sex with Virginia Giuffre in a bathtub because of his size, according to newly-released documents in the Jeffrey Epstein saga.
Documents released on Monday include claims by Maxwell’s lawyer Philip Barden that Epstein accuser Giuffre was lying about having sex with Prince Andrew because the tub in Maxwell’s London apartment was too small for a man of Prince Andrew’s size.
Giuffre, who was sex trafficked by the disgraced financier and Maxwell, has previously claimed that in 2001, Prince Andrew licked her toes in the bath before they had sex in the bedroom, when she was 17.
In his 2017 deposition, Barden said Giuffre ‘claimed she did have sex with Prince Andrew and that the sex occurred in what can only be described as a very small bathtub. Too small for a man of Prince Andrew’s size to enjoy a bath in let alone sex.’
The new documents were previously sealed as part of a 2015 lawsuit between Maxwell and her most prominent accuser Giuffre.

Barden also claimed Giuffre claims against Prince Andrew ’caused a feeding frenzy for the press.’
Last year the Daily Telegraph made the same claim, publishing a cover story with an image of a bathtub the paper claimed ‘cleared’ Prince Andrew of Giuffre’s claim.
Ghislaine’s brother Ian told the newspaper that the image, posed by two of his sister’s acquaintances, ‘show[s] conclusively that the bath is too small for any sort of sex frolicking.’
Giuffre said in 2019 that the sexual assault started in the bath in Maxwell’s London apartment and moved into the bedroom.
In 2022, Prince Andrew settled a suit out of court with Giuffre by paying her millions. However, he has always denied having even met her.
Today’s 17 unsealed court exhibits are the latest in the stream of papers to have been made public over the last week.
The latest dump of papers include harrowing testimony by Epstein victim Sarah Ransome
The documents also include claims that former president Donald Trump had sex with multiple Epstein victims.
In the latest dump of papers are emails sent by Epstein victim Sarah Ransome to DailyMail.com columnist Maureen Callahan in 2016. At the time, Callahan worked for The New York Post and was reporting on Epstein.
Ransome claimed in those emails that Trump had sex with ‘many girls’, including a friend of hers who is not named, who she says also slept with Bill Clinton and Virgin billionaire Richard Branson.
It is claimed that Epstein filmed each of these sexual encounters – and that the woman involved also obtained copies of the tapes.
No such footage has ever been publicly uncovered. The FBI is now under pressure to release hundreds of items of evidence that was photographed during a raid on Epstein’s mansion in 2019 but that was never seized.
