American fried chicken franchise Popeyes may soon be coming Down Under.
The fast food chain’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International, has reached out to n food services business firms to gage if they’d be willing to financially support the endeavour.
RBI is offering potential investors exclusive master franchise and development rights, The n Financial Review’s Street Talk reported, with plans to be even bigger than popular chicken brands KFC and Oporto.

Popular burger chain Burger King is also owned by RBI, with the company selling the equivalent of $48billion of fast food each year across 100 countries.
Popeyes is already opening a store across the ditch in Auckland.
The 300 square metre joint will welcome customers from April in the south Auckland suburb of Takanini.
Ten more franchises will open in New Zealand by the end of the year, with the arrival of Popeyes set to create more than 150 jobs and bring $25million to the economy over the next few years.
